What bottle did you drop first?
I started to introduce the girls to whole milk this week with their oatmeal and they seem fine (no reactions). Right now they eat 6oz of 22 cal formula 4x a day (7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm) with about 2 oz of solids at every meal and a snack around 5 when we eat.

I thought of dropping the 11 or 3 but here is my thinking and why I would love your input!

Do I drop the 11:00 bottle and give them 4 oz of whole milk with lunch OR drop the 3 and have 4 oz of whole milk with a mid-day snack, (concerned that I should keep the 3 and have the most calories from the bottles during the second part of the day so they continue to sleep through the night)

    What did you do?

I took the 11 and 3 bottles, and turned it into a 1pm bottle!

We dropped the 11 am first. We would give milk in the am and for 2pm at first.

Personally, I wouldn't drop bottles until they are eating real meals... and I wouldn't switch to milk before that either.

How do they do with cups? I had one bottlefed baby and she was great with a sippy. At 10 months of age we dropped ALL bottles cold turkey and never looked back. It went fabulous for us!
You dont have to be on whole milk to drop bottles formula/breastmilk goes in sippy cups too :) I would probably introduce more foods at their age. I think we were on 3 solid meals & 2 snacks by that point.

I dropped the mid-morning and replaced it with a snack and moved up lunch a bit. Mine still loved their after nap bottle, but that was the next to go.

We are in the process of doing this as well. I've been doing formula in sippys at meals. They eat lunch and dinner in their highchairs with sippys. We actually dropped the 7pm bottle first. I found they weren't drinking it after eating so much all day. I just dropped the 11am bottle as well, since they have a sippy with lunch. They are great eaters. They eat almost everything we do, so I'm not as worried about them not drinking those bottles as much now. I still do a bottle in the morning, because it's easier. I also do the 3pm bottle as a snack to get them through til dinner. I'll be replacing that with a sippy and a snack soon. I'll start them on milk soon too. One of them has a dairy allergy, so I have to talk to the dr. about what we should do for her. Probably soy milk.
