I'll start by saying I drink 2 cups of coffee everyday. Everyday except for weeks 5-15 of pregnancy (at least with the twins). Now that Im pregnant again, Ive reached that point where coffee or the smell of it is just not tolerable! I went to clean out the coffee pot yesterday and ended up puking in the sink! Yuck! As a former air traffic controller, I was able to walk into the tower and smell a pot brewing 11 stories up. unbelieveable.

    What aversions do you have?

Our inside Dog is now an outside Dog, and man his anxiety is causing some hair to fall out.
Urine, Hairspray, Shampoo & Conditioners, Household Cleaners of any sort, DH (Clean or Dirty), of you name it, it seemed like everything, even the slightest smells.

I smoked cigarettes & drank coffee- either would make me cringe!!!! YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!!

You know I am slowly realizing that I'm getting better and that those parts are ending. Sweet things like chocolate make me nauseous even now and I could eat alot of sugar!!!

The gas smell in garage, old oil or something!! Perfumes of any sort. Okay I'm shutting up now!!!

But one last thing MEAT was the worst, raw, cooking, or cooked it would make me sick for days!!!!

Whole chicken or chicken with bones in it makes me throw up/gag. I cannot prepare it or eat it.

Moldy food also does me in. Coffee was irriating me around week 12-16 but it is ok now.

Coffee is a huge one, even some days still for me and I normally (not preg) drink a ton!!

Raw meat up until recently would send me running for the toilet!

the taste of mint, which makes it really difficult to brush your teeth lol

chocolate, ick, I can eat it now though :p

I have to say from 7- 18 weeks just getting out of bed made me feel ill, it was horrible.

    I can't finish a cup of coffee.
Looking at any raw meat or eggs sends me heading to the bathroom.

I made my husband brew coffee in the garage and drink it out of a travel mug so I couldn't smell it  Oddly enough, walking past a Starbucks or something was no problem, but the smell of it first thing in the morning was awful.

Chicken was off my list, as was any pasta.. especially with cheese on it.

I am pretty much over all of my aversions now.. just eating, eating, eating! It is nice to be able to cook again though.. I missed making things and food tasting good.

I was a wedding planner and sugary smells made me yack. Imagine trying to cut and serve a wedding cake...I almost lost it a few times!

Chocolate or anything sweet tasting or smelling up until about 25 wks. I haven't completely made up for time lost, but I am finally enjoying the occasional sweet treat every now and then.

Everything!! I pretty much have an aversion to everything that has any sort of scent or taste. I posted yesterday about not being able to stand my husband's smell. This morning he fried an egg and nearly threw him out of the house, even though he had the windows open, oven fan going, air purifier on turbo, etc. I am sooo sensitive to smell. Two weeks ago pizza was my friend but past couple of days I have not been able to keep it down. Hmmm, pizza flavored stomach bile in so NOT pleasant.

Hope you don't mind if I pipe in. I was just telling DH that I saw you were pregnant...CONGRATS! Anyway - we aren't careful - AT ALL because it would seriously be a miracle so we were talking about how we'd know if I was pregnant again...anyway - both times I was pregnant recently (can't remember with my 17 yr old) I cannot eat pepperoni - that was the first clue both times before I even took the pg test. Red sauce is usually a big aversion. I find that when pizza tastes awful to me - I'm preggo. :D With the twins I also couldn't eat chicken after like 6 weeks or so and meat was really difficult most of the pregnancy. Pepperoni was the big one though. I still get a little scared to try it. ;)

With this pregnancy...MILK! It tastes like soap to me. For the longest time I thought our dishwasher wasn't working right, lol. I finally figured out it was me.

Last pregnancy...chicken (unless it was deep fried!) and the smell of raw hamburger.

funny so many have aversions to raw meat. Prior to getting pregnant, I was mostly eating vegan food (though not a vegan personally) but as soon as I was pregnant all nuts, non-dairy milks, coconuts, dried fruits, fresh vegetables and whole grain foods totally grossed me out. Then all I wanted for weeks were english muffins with butter, then I moved onto egg noodles with butter then grilled cheese sandwiches. I had my first salad tonight in ages and loved it...But now I frequently want meat--steak, chicken, etc. and I have never been bother preparing it...

spray deoderant, smokers breath, certain flavors of pizza topping combinations, raw meat, any type of smoke from a cigarette or candle or a match, froo froo soaps and lavendar...and pretty much any frilly kind of bath soaps that you use with a loofa. nope i'm all about bar soaps these days.

yeah, i really hate my nose.

For me it was the smell of garlic and cigarette smoke. Garlic was the worst. Couldn't use it in cooking while I was pregnant.

During the first few months of my pregnancy I had horrible morning sickness [that lasted all day!] and it felt like I was suffering from a hang over until I went to bed at night [haha, and I'd sleep with a breath-right strip on my nose cause I was congested. people often asked why my nose was always shiny where the strip was  ].

Whenever I'd drive by restaurants [especially fast food] I'd gag.. and feel natious. I'd hit that button on the car that prevents the outside air from getting in the car [this was during the winter months Nov-Feb] so my car would fog up all the time! I couldn't eat pizza, hamburgers, or hot dogs [even cheese! I love cheese]. I remember eating a half of a hamburger and felt so crappy I just wanted to hurl to make myself feel better.

That was the highlight of it anyway ^_^ Things got so much better for me after about the 17-20th week!!

Before I got pregnant with my twins, I LOVED Mexican food - I would want it EVERYDAY!!! While I was pregnant, I could not stand the thought of it!!! My girls are 2 now and I JUST NOW got my taste back for it!!! I never threw up I just had an extreme adversion to it!

ALSO! I was bad about REALLY wanting a certain food - getting it and that first bite was glorious --but the 2nd, 3rd YUK!!!!! poor dh! He would bring me something that I was craving and after one bite it was in the trash!

  19. So far I have had to worship the porcelain throne from...

    1) cleaning up cat yak
    2) brushing my tongue
    3) swallowing a pill

I can't eat chocolate like I used to, and chicken unless in thin strips makes me feel ill. Oh, I did successfully eat Chicken McNuggets yesterday. So I think the more processed, the better. It's frustrating...I am never sure what is not going to appeal to me next. Thank GOD for applesauce.

I dont generally like real spicy food anyways, but I put pepper on everything. Throughout my pregnancy I can NOT eat anything with pepper in it. It doesnt make me sick but the heat is intolerable for me. It has gotten worse later in my pregnancy. Any type of pepper!
