i've finally got a professional photog arranged for dec 6 and it will be an outdoor shoot. i've already got one dress for my girls to wear, a pretty little red dress with a red sweater shrug thingie from carters. however, i'm looking for other ideas for what other people are dressing their twins in for holiday pics or portraits or whatever. please share pictures! thanks.
p.s. i still havent bought them any shoes, at 6 months of age, are shoes a 'must' for professional shots?

They are getting pictures done the day before Thanksgiving while we are at my mom's. She bought outfits, I have tried finding them on the BRU site but not there...but they sound cute and she knows we are pretty picky and so I am sure they are fine. My hubby is into sending Christmas cards(I am not..nor am I into professional pictures) so we plan on getting some shots for cards. I didn't even think about shoes, guess we will pick some up once we get there to my mom's.

We are getting photos done this week-end. The girls are wearing denim dresses with a onesies, tights and black shoes. For their Christmas photo they will be wearing little red dresses and tights and black shoes, but my sister is doing those photos. For their first photos we didn't do shoes and they look fine without.

I got them cute sweaters from the children's place and that's what I'm planning to have them wear next time I take professional pictures... They're a bit small for now though, so I guess I'll have to wait until after Christmas or something, lol! My main reason for not having Christmas pictures taken now is that for two weeks they seem to have a new scratch/bug bite on their face every day or something...

We just bought them adorable outfits (well my mom and I did) at Burlington. They are beige this year because last year was black and white and I wanted to do something a little different. I am tempted to get the black and white again but I really love the ones I got. We are taking pics next week wiht Santa and I will send one of those in my photo montauge card. Then the other 3 will be the same poses we did last year for a comparison. Can't wait. I am having my dad do them on his 35 mm!!! Old camera but takes GREAT pics

I haven't given this any thought yet. . . I'm so behind! I don't think shoes are a must. Just as long as they have on clean socks, maybe some cute baby booties.

Shoes are a joke for my babies! Since they're totally foreign to them they want to eat them and they don't stay on. But I try putting them on for that rare occasion that my daughter is wearing tights. Otherwise I skip them. Here's our pic! We got coordinated outfits from Baby Gap.

I just ordered these dresses for my girls(except when I ordered them 2 days ago they were only $29 ) , with these shoes. I think shoes for professional pics is a personal preference. Do you girls like shoes? I would say that if its going to irritate them I would not even bother.

Surprisingly, I found two matching dresses at a resale shop for $3.50 each. Can't beat that! They are maroon velvet and I got ivory tights to go with it. The girls are 11 months old this weekend and they won't wear shoes with it. They do have shoes, but they don't match the dresses and I don't think they are necessary. Here's what we're sending for Christmas Cards:

Karina had huge scratches on her face in the pictures we had taken and they just retouched them so the scratch is gone. :)

We are going to get our pictures done on Sunday. Camdyn will be wearing and adorable white dress that has little pink and red roses around the bottom and the center of the top. It has a matching diaper cover and I will have her wear ivory tights. I am debating the little red shoes she has. Kyle will wear a green sweater vest that has a stripe of white around the v, a white long sleeve shirt that has a green stripe around the collar and tan pants. I am debating shoes, I will have to buy some, he only has little blue ones that have two velcro strips and high top denim ones. My older dd will wear a white sweater with a red shirt under it and black pinstripe pants. Older ds will wear tan pants with a green top of some kind. I am going to wear black pinstripe pants and a white sweater. My dh will hopefully wear his black suit pants, white shirt and maybe his grey tie that has red in it. Sorry I don't have pictures yet. I am not sure if Cami's dress will fit, if it doesn't I have a pretty dress that has red holly on it. GL.

I plan to have them in plain white cloth diaper covers and santa hats. No shirt, no shoes. Gawd, we're rednecks. ;)

Aimee, I did that with our oldest son on his second Christmas (he was only a couple weeks old on his first christmas) I just had a white diaper, sat him on a present under the tree with a santa hat.

Let me see if I can find my Christmas pictures from the past. I actually took some today too..

oh and btw, no shoes for us. I have too many birthdays (my son and the girls) coming up in the next couple weeks and Christmas to top it off. I definitely saved my money.
