Just curious to know [IMG] Ours seem to be noodles right now [IMG] oh, and crackers of any sorts.

    When does variety kick in?

Raisin bread, frozen waffles, bananas, carrots, and cheese. Those are the favorites. I try to give them some variety, but they do not want it.

I have one that will eat noodles and one that won't.

Mine will always eat grilled cheese, toast, puffs, dried fruit, cheerios, pizza.

Other than that they each have their things they will always eat, well Emilie will eat anything, Trevor is very particiular, I'm hoping he will start to exand his eating habits though.

    Fruit (cups or fresh)
    Grilled Cheese
    cheese
    Yogurt
    Milk/Juice
    PB and J
    Toast with Peanut butter
    pasta
    turkey dogs
    mac and cheese
    pizza
    Jello

And of course snacks....cheerios, goldfish, cheesdoodles, etc. They only get those AFTER they eat everything.
They refuse any veggies...they also get vitamins everyday to compenstae for the things they wont eat....just try to incorporate things everyday...little by little...it can take them so many tries to get to like something. Its a hard age with food. Ive heard Im lucky they eat that much.

Hot dogs, cheese, yogurt, bananas, gold fish crackers and pancakes typically will always be gobbled up!

Bananas are a must!! Yogurt and steamed veggies. My MIL keeps my girls and I swear she fixes them chicken and dumplins three times a week--so I guess I have to add that.

Unless she is genuinely not hungry, Sarah will always eat yogurt and fish sticks. Amy will always eat scrambled eggs, cheese, most fruit, and especially avocado and blueberries.

They both eat mini-quiche (frozen from Costco), frozen Kashi waffles (they won't touch Eggos), bananas, and crackers.

They refuse most main dishes. They'll occasionally eat pizza as long as they can eat the cheese and the crust separately.

Oooo, I forgot about raisin bread -- I haven't bought it in a while, but they usually like that too. Thanks Sandy!

Timely topic as I am trying to introduce variety and it ain't happenin! [IMG] So jealous of the moms whose kids eat whatever is for dinner!

    Waffles, Pancakes
    Eggs
    Yogurt
    Banana
    Hotdogs
    Chicken nuggets
    French fries/tater tots
    Cheese
Grilled cheese or Grilled Peanut Butter
    Soup
    Mac N Cheese
    Pizza
    Ravioli (sometimes)
    Any type of fruit

They are starting to eat some other things, like hamburgers or stuffing/dressing, but those are hit or miss. Yesterday I tried cheese quesadillas and you'd have thought I was trying to poison them. Today I got them some TAco Bell soft tacos and they looked at me like I was crazy.

    Oh well. [IMG]

I'm so glad my kids aren't the only ones who don't eat a big variety of foods. They used to eat lots of things... chicken, beef, veggies, etc... but around 18 months, they started this phase of refusing most foods. Right now our staples include:

noodles - no oil, butter, salt.. just plain and dry
most fruit - apples, bananas, pears, mango, berries, grapes
    waffles, pancakes
    toast, bagels
    yogurt
    applesauce
    black beans
    hot dogs
chicken tenders (some nights a big hit, others a complete miss)
most snack foods - crackers, pretzels, rice cakes, goldfish crackers
cheese (dd will only eat sliced cheddar, ds will only eat string cheese)
    pb&j
    raisins
    cereal - cheerios, kix

that's about it. I try something "new" every day... whatever we're having for dinner or leftovers from the night before. Usually they stick up their noses before I even get it to them. I'm just going to keep trying [IMG] Our ped said to keep pushing the fruit and to make sure to give them their vitamin... he assured me that this is just a phase. I hope so!

My girls are older than most of yours. However, they've always liked a variety of foods. Favorites though are:

    Sliced apple with peanut butter
Cheese (american, swiss, cheese sticks, any really)
    Cereal
    Yogurt (Kaitlyn mostly)
    Baby carrots with dip
    Turkey meatballs
    Ham

It changes but currently they can't have enough of American Cheese slices. They've learned to open the refrigerator and are always bringing me the pack so that I can get them a slice. [IMG]

Glad to know it is not just my picky 2! I am dealing with a severe dairy allergy so I wasn't sure if I messed things up with the limitations. It is SO hard to get them to try new things. sigh. Here are their staples:

almost any fruit, but now has to be whole. God forbid I cut the apple up.

Tyson Chicken nuggets. It's the only chicken I can get in them.

    Mrs. Paul's Fish Sticks

    Smiley Faced Potatoes

    Hot Dogs

My homemade bolognese sauce (only Phoebe)

    Noodles (only Archer)

    Crackers - any safe kind

    Bagels, bread

    Apple sauce

    Soy Yogurt

    Steamed Baby Carrots (Archer)

    Broccoli (Archer)

    Corn on the Cob (Archer)

    Blueberry Pop Tarts

Homemade pancakes with egg replacer, soy milk and applesauce. They are actually very good!

Van's Dairy and Egg free waffles

I sneak American cheese to Phoebe sometimes but it has to be a controlled eating environment (strapped into seats) and Archer gets upset sometimes and says "Cheese, Cheese" having no idea this could send him into Anaphylactic shock.

I have had dinners where the only thing Phoebe has eaten is the ketchup. It's beyond frustrating isn't it? I just try to go with the flow. [IMG]

Stacyann, what is a "Dr. Prager's spinach pancake"? [IMG] Just curious.

And yeah, mac & cheese for us too. I forgot about that one.

Spaghetti with meat sauce (I add ricotta on occasion for extra cals)
    Mac n cheese
    chicken nuggets
    Hamburger meat
    meatloaf
    steak
    Pork chops
    Pork loin
    roast beef
    baked or sauteed chicken
    Turkey
    Ham
Cheese, cheddar, american, monterrey jack, mozzarella
    quesadillas
    corn
    peas
    grean beans
    baked beans
    oatmeal (any flavor)
    Yogurt
    banana
    apples
potatos (cooked anyway, esp. french fries)
    mashed sweet potatos
    Peanut butter
Bread (pretty much any bread, covered in anything)
    Chicken noodle soup
    rice
lipton noodle sides cheddar and brocolli
    tortellini
    ravioli
    spaghettio's
salad with ranch or italian dressing
    ritz, saltine or goldfish crackers
    Nilla wafers
    eggs
    bacon
    sausage
    waffles
    pancakes....
Okay, just about anything except cold cereal. They love milk but cant stand cereal in it... they wont eat cereal dry either. I guess they had enough puffs and cheerios when they were learning to self feed. They aren't big fans of hotdogs unless they are kosher. They'll eat just about anything they can dip. They don't much care what the dip is so long as there is a dip. They pretty much eat whatever the rest of the family is eating. I don't make special meals unless I don't want to clean up something like potato soup. Basically, they eat or dont get anything until the next scheduled meal or snack.
The other night, they ate baked salmon with wild rice and a salad.

Not sure she'll come back, so I'll answer. They are sold in the frozen section of the supermarket, I think in the "Kosher" section in my store -- or maybe the organic section. But they are also sold in health food stores. They are yummy! My girls used to eat them (and the zucchini pancakes -- regularly. I don't buy them anymore, now they eat whatever I eat (not that I wouldn't eat the Dr. Praeger's, they are good!)

As to the thread, my girls love BREAD! Whole wheat bread! So much that I think they'd live on it but I won't let them.

They also do pretty well with:

Other bread products - bagels, english muffins, etc.
    Waffles, pancakes
    Cheese (any!)
    Hummus (they LOVE it!)
    Chicken (especially dark meat)
Marinated flank steak (almost the only beef they really love)
    Pasta, noodles (any)
    Broccoli (Melissa does great!)
    Carrots (Jade's favorite veggie!)
    Peas (both)
    Eggs (scrambled with cheese)
    PB&J

etc etc etc...I can't complain, they are generally great eaters, I think.
