What are your favorite toys for 12 month olds?

Hi all,
I want to get started shopping for the boys 1st birthday. What toys did your kids love at 1 year?

When my boys turned 1 they were really loving Barney. I got them a Barney doll that sang the I love you song and that was a favorite. They also loved this Sesame Street pop-up singing toy by Fisher Price- it had 4 different sesame characters and each one had a different way to make them pop up- it is designed to enhance their fine motor skills. They also got an all-terrain Radio Flyer wagon that was awesome to take them for walks in. I also got them the Mega Blocks to build with. At that age they really love anything that lights up and makes sounds. Go to the Fisher Price website and look at their age group- that is how I found alot of their stuff. Happy Birthday!!

Some of the things they enjoyed were:

Radio Flyer wagon (probably the biggest hit)

some of those push toys (I don't know what they're called, but they push them along while learning to walk)

They got this awhile after their 1st birthday, but this toy is one of their FAVORITES!

they also have a little rocker that looks like a stuffed bull & he sings & makes noise; they love it!

Anything with lights, buttons, balls, blocks, etc


If you go to Amazon, they have a pretty good list of toys in age categories that I've found pretty helpful.

 

our got one of those soft tunnel for there birthday. the ones that fold down till they are just like a ring and when you untie them the pop back open. Mine love it, they like to sit in the middle and they just laugh. its so cute.
