What are your favorite disposable diapers and wipes?

Every so often on this board, I see discussions about which diapers or wipes work well, and which ones are useless. So, I thought that I'd pose the question directly:

For your under-one-year-olds, which disposable diapers and wipes were your favorite? (and why?)

 

I am a 100000% Pampers girl. We tried all sorts of brands of diapers and wipes, and always went back to Pampers. My girls had reactions to other brands out there, and some just didn't fit them well at all.

 

Ultimately, my favorite dipes to use are cloth - Bumgenius, Fuzzi Bunz, and Kissiluvs. BUT, our washer broke recently, and now our dryer is on the fritz. So, I haven't been full-time with the cloth for a while...

My sposies of choice are Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers, followed by Luvs. Very absorbant, not many leaks!

My wipes of choice are Cosco/Kirkland brand... I don't even have a Cosco close to my house, but I have my parents buy me big boxes and give them to me when we see them! They are very gentle (hypoallergenic, no perfumes) and just the right thickness!

 

we buy the cheapest we can find. We get our wipes at Costco and I like them. We also buy our diapers there. In the beginning we got the Kirkland brand but they also carrry Huggies and now that they are in size 3 we get those becasue they are actually cheaper then the Kirkland brand. They seem to be fine for us. They only leak for us when they are getting too big for that size so then we know it's time to move them to the bigger size.

 

I voted Kirkland for both just because of price. We LOVE the Kirkland wipes (although there is not "pretty" smell to them). I voted for their diapers as well but I do not use them at night time. They are just a little too thin to last night time. Right now we use Huggies at night but I am looking for a little better diaper. Maybe pampers will be the one!

Ditto!!!! Pampers Swaddlers!!!!!!! We have never ever had one single leak
Although I use Huggies Sensitive wipes...not sure why I dont use the pampers ones?? Cant remember if I tried them & didnt like them or not?!

 

pampers have been the best, however we are trying to use 7th generation during the day to be more enviromental.

we use huggies wipes (sensitive) - we buy them at coscto...

we use kirkland for other stuff...but not for the messy diapers.

 

Our Wal-Mart brand here is Parents Choice not white cloud, that is what we use and they are great. Small leak issue sometimes at night but otherwise good. I was a swaddler fan until we had to buy our own, then we switched to PC. I love huggies wipes they are soft and do not have any of those perfumey smells they just smell clean and they feel like a wash cloth. They are great for removing makeup too!

 

I love Pampers!! They have just worked so well with my two. We have not had one diaper rash. And only one blow out. (But I think the Johnny Jump Up helped with that. As did the carrots for dinner!)

I like the Pampers wipes because I think they separate the easiest. (We use the pop-up thing.) The Huggies wipes are thicker but they can be hard to separate and you end up pulling half the box out and that frustrates me.

That said, because they are in size 3 now, I'll be switching to Luvs because of the price. (The smallest big box of Luvs I can find around here is 3.) I do like the Pampers better, but we also need to save where we can and the Luvs have been fine.

 

I voted Other: BJs brand (Berkeley & Jensen) for both diapers and wipes.

 

We love the Lavender scented Pampers wipes....mmmm they smell so nice! We HATED the Huggies wipes like someone else said...they don't separate well & I found them too thick & scratchy.

As for diapers, I prefer Pampers but there is a funny smell to them that I don't like. We had some leak issues at night, but now we went up a size & have no trouble. We leaked a lot in Huggies (still do) & I found they didn't 'stretch' as nice around the waist.

I haven't tried any other brands, so I can't comment there. I'm almost afraid to try....why mess with something that works, right?

 

I just started making my own wipes. Super easy and cost effective! I have a spray bottle w/ water and essential oils
i spray on a soft, old blanket I cut up for pee dipes. I do paper towels cut in half in a rubbermaid w/ water, baby shampoo and baby oil for poos and traveling. Less than a penny per wipe!

If there was a bumper sticker that said."I HATE HUGGIES" I would put it on my car. Love both kind of Pampers but we only buy when on sale w/ a coupon. We use Luvs the rest of the time.

 

With the preemie and size one the pampers were much better. The HUggies preemie were terrible I ended up having to take them back. But after that we have been all about huggies. I have tried other numerous times and everything leaks except huggies. We buy them in bulk in costco and they are even cheaper than the costco brand, so we haven't even tried costco diapers as huggies are cheaper here.

Wipes don't seem to matter as much to us.

 

since we got a size bigger in huggies snug n dry, we haven't had any leakage/blowout problems. and i really like the costco wipes. they're not too thick or wet, adn they wipe really well

 

We started using cloth, and I love Happy Heiny's however, just recently my dh's aunt and uncle bought us a ton of pampers swaddlers which is our disposable of choice and we are currently using them 100% of the time until they are all gone-then back to cloth.
We love huggies wipes but usually we by bulk of Sams brand.

 

For preemie size we used Huggies, but once they hit NB we switched to Pampers swaddlers. Then when they grew out of swaddlers we switched to Cruisers. For overnight we use Huggies Overnights. And for wipes we use Huggies sensitive. I tried Pampers (and got a bunch of travel size ones that came with the swaddlers), but I like the huggies better... they are less slippery.

 

We used Swaddlers in the beginning, and then switched to Costco brand. When the prices increased on those, I switched to Target brand diapers. I love the Costco wipes!

 

I used Pampers Swaddlers for them from preemie to 1/2 and then when they went to 3 we went to Cruisers. My older DD did great in these and I did not want to do trial and error if I didnt have too. So, they worked and I stuck with it. I also use the Pampers Sensitive Skin wipes. I have since the day they were born so I just stuck with it. I used the Costco wipes with my older DD and never had an issue but I couldnt vote twice

 

We use Target for everything and save tons of $$. We have no issues and have been very happy with them. Otherwise, we like Pampers - just not their prices.

 

when I buy sposies, I like Baby Dry.

I always buy target wipes and I loooove them. I've bought the pampers sensitive and they are no where near as stretchy and soft.

As for wipes we've been using what we got for our shower..I think we might actually have to go buy some soon <_< Not too bad though ~ we haven't bought any for an entire year

we really wanted to use cloth (still might, at some point) but it has not happened yet. the nicu used pampers so that's what we bought. then we tried huggies once and didn't like them. my mom brought costco ones over once, and i thought they actually looked good, but they were tiny! and, the pampers kind of smell like baby powder, which is nice.... for wipes we use 7th gen, cuz i don't want any frangrances or chems on their cute little bums!

We've used Pampers Swaddlers when they were Preemie/NB, then we switched to Costco (Kirkland) and the Huggies Snug and Dry they sell there. We have never had a problem with any, but our faves now are the Huggies and Kirkland size 3's. We use some noname ones during the day that are cheap ($17 for 120) and by the bag, but they're no good for the overnights. Never had any leaks unless the nappy was too small or not on right (my mom).

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kirkland (Costco) wipes! They are so portable, good thickness, not too wet, and wipe really well. We use the huggies for our wipes warmer in the nursery because they fit the best and stay the moistest !
