My kiddos have been very slow to start solids, right now they are getting 2 meals a day and the rest formula. My DS is starting to put on weight where he was slimming down because of the cruising ( I think he it's beacuse he is getting to much bottle). I am at a loss what to feed them other then rice ceral and a babyfood. They hate stage 3's. My DD just barley got teeth about 2 weeks a go and my DS has 9.

Please Help, they are waking 2-3 times a night, where they had been sleeping through since 3 months.

    Help!!!!!!

I hope this helps, but mine are all off of bottles and no formula, so if it doesn't, at least take my best wishes that this works out for you soon!

Breakfast 6:00 - 2 waffles each, sometimes with pancakes if they are really hungry, and cut/smooshed fruit, and milk
snack - 7:30 yogurt, juice, and cheerios
snack#2 - 10:30 - fruit or shredded cheese and crackers
lunch - 11:30 - noon- pasta pick ups or soup (1/2 each), one container stage 2 fruit or veggie, milk, some sort of crackers or snack food
snack - 3:00 - cereal, any finger food (cheese, goldfish, they love the Gerber easy dissolve stuff still - I should buy those crunchies by the case!), juice or water
dinner about 5:30 - 6:00- some of whatever we are eating if it's ready, or mac & cheese, lunch meat, milk,
then bed about an hour later

If they are hating the stage 3's (mine do), stick with stage 2 but give them more until they are more ready for solids is my suggestion. We also used to mix up cereal and then mix that with the baby food.

Mine never would eat stage three it made them gag. They love pieces of cheddar cheese, mac n cheese, fruit cups, bread with cream cheese on it, blueberry eggos...these are some treats that are really tasty that they wanted, so it was easy to get them to test them out. Will they feed themselves finger foods at all? It really sounds to me like maybe their appeties are being drowned by milk a little bit, but milk won't have the same staying power, so they are waking from hunger. Mine love PB& Jelly as well, we started that at a year, and they GRUB it!!

I'm feeling your pain. Mine too don't eat much. I've got them off the formula, we're doing 3 sippies with meals, usually about 7 oz each meal and they usually drink all their milk before eating. Then I read somewhere that the milk might be taking away their appetite, so I tried decreasing it. That lasted two days. They were listless and not acting like themselves so I figure I'll stick with what I know for now. They will eat some finger foods, PB & J, a few bites of lunch meat and cheese. They love fruit, especially bananas and mandarin oranges. I've been so worried about trying to feed them a "balanced diet" that I was stressin myself out. I heard if they eat a "balanced diet" within the course of a week, you're doing well.
Try getting them on whole milk in with their sippies first and then go from there.
There's a sticky at the top of the page for suggestions on what to feed them, but I figure they'll tell me when they ready for a bigger appetite.
GL with your two. It's all about trading one challenge for the next.

Mine eat well most of the time and they wouldn't take stage 3's either. I give them pretty much what PP said and what I have but cut into small pieces. They have chicken nuggets, fruit cups, cut up fruits and veggies. I have done hot dogs but cut very small or vienna sausages. Mine don't like eggs but really like waffles and pancakes. They each have 3 8oz sippies of milk a day as well as 2 snacks. They weigh 22lbs and 20lbs and the dr was fine with their weights at last visit. Maybe cut back on the milk. My dr said to allow no more than 24oz a day and they both sleep from 7-7 and 2 naps a day still.
Edit to ask how old your babies are? Your ticker says 4 weeks and was just wondering or if you were talking about your 2 y/o.
