Every morning I walk my two big girls into school with the twins in a stroller, and I look at all the other mothers and they look so nice. Any time I dress up it's spit up on, wet, soaked, drooled, or ruined in some way! I just dress in jeans and a t-shirt so I can change the shirt and anything goes with jeans.

Am I the only slug? How do you do it?

    What do you wear?

Are you kidding? Jeans is dressed up for me, LOL. I have rolled into my daughter's preschool with lounge pants on, heehee. And, I have exactly three shirts that fit me, plus a number of XXL T-shirts from Walmart that I lived in during pregnancy. So odds are, I'm wearing one of those....

I'm giving myself some time to drop some weight, and then I gotta get it together -- until then, I have infant twins, so whatever -- I'm allowed to be a slug!

ETA -- there are some moms in our school who look like they get up at 6 a.m. to do full make-up and hair, and there are others who I've never seen out of a ponytail. I've generally befriended the ones who fall in the latter category.

    :)

I wear jeans or yoga pants with tees or sweaters when I'm hanging at home or taking the girls on errands. At one of our pediatrician appointments I was telling her how I learned my lesson about getting Ana out of bed before getting dressed into my work clothes (Ana's my big spitter!), and she replied "Why do you think I'm always dressed in patterns? It harder to see the spit up!" I need to find some cute patterned t shirts!

Oh and one thing that makes me feel more put together is cute shoes. I'm not talking about fancy shoes, just stylish but comfy shoes. I have a pair of tan suede mocassins by Born I love.. or my cute pink slip on/kind of athletic shoes. Added bonus is people will look at my shoes and ignore the big wet spot on my shirt and the bags under my eyes!

ETA: Got my brand of shoes confused with a popular brand of baby carrier... mommy brain!

Hair: Bun-type thingy.(really I just pile it up and somehow secure it with a ponytail holder)
    Make-up: N/A
    Clothing: tshirt/shorts, yoga pants/tank top
    Shoes: flip-flops or tennis shoes

    :pardon:

That's me! I have never been one on getting all dressed up to go to the grocery store. I do try to at least look in a mirror before I walk out the door, but sometimes I do resort to the rear-view mirror. LOL!

Right now I'm wearing cordoroy pants that should have been ironed, a thin gray plain sweater, and comfy black velcro tennis shoes. Hair is always pulled back and my idea of makeup is lip gloss and powder applied at a stop light. Sometimes I do get cutsied up just for the heck of it, it makes me feel good.

I have nothing again those ladies who are always dolled up, never without makeup, etc, I'm just too lazy, plus I'd rather sleep! Plus, I have to point out the fact to my DH when I do doll myself out...he doesnt usually notice, but I guess that's a good thing he just likes me for me! :)

When my boys were that little, I wasn't dressing for a fashion show. My goal was to get out of the house and get my errands run...not to worry about what I looked like! Most of the time I wore jeans/shorts/yoga pants with t-shirts, flip flops or tennis shoes. However, I'm not a "dressy" person in the least!

My uniform is a v-neck tee and either black gouchos or yoga pants. If it's cold, you'll find me in a hoodie. I do try to make sure I dress up if we go out for dinner, but every day wear is simple and wrinkle free. The only thing I do make an effort on is my hair...I keep it about chin-length and highlighted. That's as good as it gets. I don't have time for fancy.

I have to admit I had visions of you floating around the house in a satin gown encrusted in jewels....

I wear either jeans or nice sweats (whichever is clean) and a clean t-shirt. When my guys were little and prone to puking on me a lot I had a sweat jacket I would throw on if I needed to be in public and didn't feel like changing my entire outfit. But I would at least try to wear something clean to leave the house.

I've also driven Dave to school before in my pj's. We're not talking about a t shirt and lounge pants here, it was my nightgown and robe. (I didn't want him to be late!)

Capri pants and jeans and usually a fun t-shirt or a cutesy top. I also make some effort on my hair and I can apply bronzer, mascara and lip gloss in record time. I was in the beauty industry and used to being dressed nice and made up, so old habits are hard to break. It's just me, but most days I try not to look like the tired mom of twins that I really am!

Jeans or knit pants. T-shirt. No makeup unless DH and I have a date night. Some folks are probably the other way. Before kids, I used to not go out of the house without makeup. Now, umm, not so much. I kind of wish I could get back in the habit, but, not happening yet!

Nursing tank and jeans or corduroys. On a good day, I won't even have drool and spit-up all over me! :p

Heck i am thrilled it is getting colder here so i can wear swetshirts and fleece pants instead of shorts and tops that make me look like a stuffed marshmellow! I normally hate winter but this year i am fine with it, the more i layer the less i think about the 15-20 pounds i still need to loose. I try to wear make up once a week if that. LOL... I like to say i am ok with it and comfortable in my own skin. :drinks:

Wow its nice to know I'm not the only one!

I'm lucky if I get dressed before naptime (1pm) and if I do it before then it is amidst screaming yelling and crying the whole time. If we go out I am in jeans, t-shirts, hair up in a bun, sneakers and no make-up. I used to atleast try to look decent pre-babies and do my hair and make-up but now if I get out of the house and get what I need to get done before DH comes home from work and wants dinner then I feel like my day has been productive. Adding make-up, hair styles and nice "outfits" to the list definately would not work.

Plus DH really couldn't care less as long as the babies are taken care of and the house isn't a complete wreck even if I am still in my PJ's. The first thing he does is give me a big hug and tells me he loves me. Now thats true love when I'm in my PJ's with my hair a wreck and I am still the most beautiful woman in the world. (or so he says)

I will say that I would never actually leave the house in my PJ's except maybe to get the mail.

Hey at least some of you get jeans on! :good: I feel like most days I just manage to wear PJ pants/ lounge pants and t-shirts (that usually gets changed at least once during the day after being spit up on!) And I can't manage to do anything BUT ponytails as the boys are constantly pulling my hair. So even if I had the time to do it, it'd be pulled up w/in minutes!

For most of the first year I never got out of pajamas! For seven months of breastfeeding I lived in nursing tank tops and either my pajama bottoms or a pair of shorts. Literally, 24 hours a day (minus 15 minutes for a shower every 3 or 4 days . . .) If I stayed home, that's what I was wearing. If I left the house, that's what I was wearing. I had more important things on my mind than what other people thought of my fashion sense.

Now that I'm back at work, jeans and a t-shirt is about as dressed up as I get (but that's what I wore pre-kids too).

I wouldn't worry about it too much . . . who cares what the other mommies are wearing.

I'm usually in jeans and a nursing top or a cute, easy-to-nurse-in shirt like a henley, button-down shirt, or polo tunic...i also make it a point to wear make up every day (even did so in the OR for my c-section!), though my hair is almost always tied back with a clip since the babies love to pull it....i am however, barefoot just about all the time

the makeup routine only takes about 5 mins so it's not a big deal, and i don't see a corpse when i look in the mirror, which is always a plus...i know DH appreciates it too, so that is also a motivator

I am all about comfy clothes that in those days could handle a lot of spit up and in current days, can handle lots of runny noses! I just went to Body Gap to get some nicer comfy clothes. I have one pair of jeans I just bought since I needed a new size but I mostly wear the running/cotton type of pants. I do wear makeup but it takes 1 minute to do and it is not a lot. I feel better with it.

We live in hawaii, and my neighbor (who has one baby the same age as my two) and I joke about how we walk our dogs and babies in our pajamas - on days when we know we will have to answer the door or go out, we just wear our running shorts and t-shirts to bed the night before, no need to change in the morning, then! ha ha ha! I am NOT joking!

I wear running shorts and a t-shirt almost every day. When I go out on an errand to the NICE mall, I do make a bit more of an effort - nicer t-shirt (LOL) and capris or a skirt) and maybe some lipstick, but only if I can find it!
