What are you getting your 2-3 year olds for Christmas

I'm finding it VERY difficult to come up with gift ideas for my twins who will be 2.5 at Christmas time. For our DD, I'm thinking of the Fisher Price My First Dollhouse set bc her big sister will be getting the big Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse and I don't want Evy and Lauren fighting over it! LOL!

But what else is good? I'm having an especially hard time with Henry. He loves looking at books and he likes blocks so I was thinking a set of those big, sturdy cardboard bricks to build with. He can build them up and knock them down... his favorite passtime! LOL!

Anyone know what the "hot" toys are this year? Anyone have any other ideas for this age range?

    Thanks! :)

I want to get them an easel. Meghan has picked out a vanity from the ToysRUs big book, not sure if she is getting it. One of her aunt's asked about getting her a dress up trunk, which she will love. I am thinking of the Doodlepro for each of them. Maybe a new Tonka truck for Nolan.

Maureen, my two have doodle pro's and really like them. (we have 2 small travel ones and one big one) That's what started them liking to scribble.

Kyle LOVES trucks and a tonka is a great idea! I should get one for Kyle.

I would give the loving family doll have to the 2.5 year old and get an older doll house for your 5 year old. My girls love the loving family doll house, in fact I got them rooms and more people for it for the holidays.
A big hit in this house is the memory game. They match the cards, line up the cards (have not really played memory but love the game)

We are giving the Loving Family dollhouse to the girls, and we are getting them backpacks, and I think we're getting some dolls w/ clothes and other accessories, but other than that I am kind of at a loss.

CArdboard blocks are GREAT (lillian Vernon catalog) and cheap (relatively)...my 2 love them at other peoples houses.

A small trampoline is a big hit at our house (by Galt), floor puzzles, Aquadoodle (they make a COOL wall one), art supplies, Trikes/bikes, they even make roller skates for 2-4 yr olds (little Tikes), my girls love the Snap N style dolls & Leap Pad (3-5 age).

My boys will 2.5 at Christmas and they are getting the Step 2 Deluxe Canyon train table and the FP basketball hoop (2 big items). They are getting the My First Leap Pad and some of the books for it, the Leap Frog Word Whammer and lower case letters for their fridge phonics, puzzles, and books. These are all things they love doing. They LOVE their doodle pros and like PP, we also have the big one and the travel one. So...for their stockings I bought them these little animal stamps for them that put footprints on their doodle board and makes the animal sounds along with little cars and trains for their table. They are also getting snowcoats and hats.

I have gone overboard on their first 2 Christmas's so I'm going to tone it down this year. I'm guessing they will have a list for me next year -- LOL!

Those sound very cool; I think my girls would LOVE those! Where did you get them? Do you have a link or more info so I could find them?

Sign up for email specials at hasbro.com.

I ordered Mr. Potato Head, toy vacuum, toy dust buster, 2 talking tonka trucks, guitar, and a sit & spin. I had a 25% off coupon plus free shipping so I saved over $50.

Yeah, don't over estimate my 2.5 year old DD! LOL! She still chews on EVERYTHING! If I got her the Loving Family set, she'd destroy it in a matter of days. I think the My First Dollhouse is more her speed bc it's got chunkier pieces and it's all plastic so if she messes with it, it's not as big a deal.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm definetly going with the cardboard bricks for Henry... I actually think all the kids will love those! Henry also has a small obsession with tree frogs so I might try and find him one he can carry around. He loves the one his speech therapist has and cries EVERY time when I have to take it away! LOL!

[SIZE=12pt]The FP My first dollhouse is actually what DH and I decided to get Katie. I think she'd like it. My oldest had a small desk when he was little and I saw one tonight that I think they'd like. Its the chair and desk made together with the dry erase board on top.
Joshie is pretty easy to buy for...if it has wheels he will like it.
