 The past 24 hours my back and hips are killing me! It is all the time, so I don't think it has anything to do with Labor ( I'm on bedrest, so I'm wondering if it is just from having to lay on my sides all the time). Does anyone else have this? Are you taking anything? It seems to feel better when I get up and move around, but I'm not really supposed to do that too much. I think I am hitting a wall with this preggo thing, but I know I have to keep them cooking for a few more weeks.....but this is getting SO BAD!!! I'm not sure how you 37-38 weekers are still holding on! :)

ouch sorry about the pain:( are u alllowed to soak in a warm bath tub? add some epsom salts and bubbly bath that smell good:) after that wrap yourself in a super warm bath robe and put a heading pad on your sore spots-I dont know if that would be allowed on bedrest-maybe a tenyol would help?

Are you able to get out and get a massage? I am going to massage therapy once a week and it's really helping.

I'm so sorry! I've had hip pain for a couple of months now (silly babies pushed my pelvis out of place), but it's been kept under pretty good control up until now through physical therapy. But over the past few days, it's gotten worse. I tried to get up out of a lying down position quickly to answer the phone, and I was literally screaming in pain because my hips hurt so bad.

I know some hip pain comes because our ligaments are getting loose in preparation for the babies.

Have you tried heat packs? What about pillows between your legs when your laying down? Another thing that my PT has taught me is to stabilize my lower back/pelvis/hips by tightening my lower abs and tilting my pelvis slightly forward, especially when changing positions or lifting anything.

Hang in there! Every day still they're still inside you is helping the babies.

I wear my maternity belt 24/7 now and it helps a lot. I wear it sleeping and everything. Pillows help too ;) .

ETA to say baths help too and your doing great :hug99: . Some days I don't know how I hang on (some are better than others), but then the pain or naueasa or boredom or whatever  will ease up and I think, it's not so bad. I hope you feel better :hug99: .

I take about 3 baths a day. After filling the bath tub, I lay side ways so that my stomach feels weightless and the warmth soothes my muscles. I only take one when my husband is home though just in case I have trouble getting out or I fall asleep! It's like heaven...unfortunatley it's the only time my body feels like it gets a break.

    I hope you feel better!

ouch...you poor thing...i can sympathise with you sort of. with last preg i developed a hernia in my groin at 27 weeks cos of the weight of my uterus(went away as soon as i had my son)

and it has returned a few weeks ago, and sometimes getting around, rolling over etc is painful (lifting my leg to shave even hurts, but i'm not giving that up yet!!)

I hope you feel better soon. We have all that to look forward to, and you are almost about to have your babies...i hope it won't be too much longer for you.

the warm bath does it everytime and i dont cannot fall aasleep laying to either side i have to be propped up on my back with a few pillows supporting each side of my tummy i have been sleeping either on the couch or in the recliner the bed is out of the question! dont get me wrong at some points throught the night i end up on my side and i get short of breath on my sdie so it wakes me up and i have fall asleep on my back again. so aLOT of pillows and try the sofa or a recliner to sleep in. i max out at about 4 hours of sleep now but im used to it i dont like it but i deal with it i worry about my babies all the time!

I've had to take Tylenol with Codeine some nights because I also get constant Braxton Hick contractions that don't let up -- sometimes up to 6 hours at a time. It helps to relax and let me sleep.
