Maybe a growth spurt? Could they need to eat more?
Or maybe teeth?? It's early but possible!

Hopefully it's just a phase that will quickly pass. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. I'm too tired to think straight too!! My girls have been up recently but I think it's because we just put them in seperate cribs.

    Hang in there!

sounds like a growth spurt to me. Perhaps add a 10pm dream feed to help them through the night or add an extra oz to every bottle during the day. Also, how many naps a day? They could be ready for two long naps instead of 3.

The time between 4 and 6 months was pretty bad here as far as night wakings go. I finally did CIO at 6 months. Teeth maybe?

i would keep them on a 3 hr eating schedule until they are sleeping 12 hrs. if you have been doing 4 hrs, then go back to 3.5 hrs if you are BF. otherwise add another ounce per bottle during the day and see if that helps. 4 months was a major growth spurt for us. I nursed them every hour the day they turned 4 months. They were so hungry! They were getting ready to start rolling, scooting and sitting up.

I think it is really important for you to know and understand (and dh too) that you are doing nothing wrong. I know it's hard to accept that (especially if they are your first kids?) but the fact is, you are doing everything great. They are going to change. Sometimes the changes will come from week to week or month to month and sometimes it's unfortunately from day to day. They are just being babies and soooooooo many different things are going on with them and it's frustrating cause they just can't come out and say, "Gosh darn, my gums are just killing me. Got some Tylenol to help alleviate this pain?" or "There is this HUGE gass bubble just sitting in my stomach and it hurts like a b$@#*! Mylecon drops might do the trick." or "OMG I am sooooo tired but I just can't figure out how to get myself to sleep!" KWIM? It's a total guessing game in the beginning (and even now still for me sometimes) and it's trial and error and you just try things until something makes them happy. You always need to try and get them on a routine and a schedule, yes but...you must be flexible and know that things aren't going to stay that way just because it's what we like. There are growth spurt, teething, gas, hunger, nausea, over tiredness, and just wanting to be held, times. And sometimes, it's a combinations of several of them  Hang in there, you are doing a great job!!

Is there any possibility they have reflux? Mine did and our pedi GI warned me that between 4-6 months would be the worst/most painful period. Sure enough, like clockwork they were utterly miserable from about 4 to 5.5 mos.

    thank you ladies..
it was a bit better last night not a whole lot better.
its just really tough to figure out what they need when they are crying.. I dont want to pick them up all the time when they cry at night.. i actually dont.
I did the mistake with now 3 1 /2 yr old and she is sitll not sleeping through the night.
I did my girl lucia in bed with me at 4:30 this morning because I couldnt handle getting up every minute to put her paci in her mouth.. I was working on two hrs sleeep the night before and needed to get some ZZZ's and that is how it started with my first child I was so tired tht I put her in bed with me..
its horrible but sometimes but I really love sleeping with them.. my husband and I have been fighting so much who wants to stay in bed with him!
anyways, thank ladies for all your support once again.. I am hoping this will pass and it was just a phase.

Mine did that at 5 1/2 months. It actually lasted for a LONG week and then a few weeks later they started sleeping through the night. Hopefully, it's just a phase and will get back to normal soon!

I just wanted to say that my boys aren't much older than your children and one of them is going through a strange patch too. I'm wondering if we're in for a tooth soon?

I think almost all babies have a growth spurt at that age. They might be hungry or their legs might hurt. If you want to/can you could try giving them a dose of Tylenol.
