What are the "signs" that your period is about to start?

I have been having period like cramping once a month, but no period. Yesterday it was really bad, and I thought for sure I was about to start, but still nothing. Are there any signs to give you some warning that your period is coming back, or do you just always have to be ready. I am sure mine will decide to come back when I'm out and about wearing white. Also, did any of you cramp like this? It doesn't seem like it shoud be normal, but I don't know.

 

I had typical PMS symptoms before it started. Yes, some cramping and when AF showed, it was no surprise! Everyone is different though. It could be that you are ovulating. That can be crampy too!

 

Mine symptoms were the same as my regular symptoms before the babies.

 

If you're still BF, you may not get your full period (because you're not ovulating) but your body may still be trying to cycle, therefore the cramps. However, if you've stopped BF and no period after 2-3 months, you should see your doctor.

 

Mine came back without warning (at least, nothing I was in a state to notice while chasing two babies!).

But yes, ditto pps, your body could be trying to gear up to ovulate again. Either way, good luck, and I hope AF will not hit while you're wearing white and there are no tampons in a 5 mile radius!

 

I could be ovulating. I am still bfing about 6-7 times a day, but it seems like my supply has been a little low these past few days. They tend to maul me pretty bad when that happens.
