I don't really want Pull-ups or other disposable training diapers, but I would like a good furniture-saving training pant. What have you guys found success with? Are the all-in-one cotton with plastic exterior pants the best? Or can I save some money and buy the plastic pants to pull over their underwear? Are the Gerber ones ok or do they leak a lot? I would really like a cost effective (translation: cheap ;) ) product. I can't afford expensive ones like the Snap-EZ or anything. I'd really appreciate hearing what has worked for everyone. Thanks!

I used the Gerber all in one pants. I loved them. They really aren't that expensive and I didn't really have any leaks. I didn't like the plastic pants over the underwear. The all in one pants absorbed. You won't have that with the underwear and plastic pants.

I agree with you on the pull-ups. I used those on my oldest DD. It took forever for her to be potty trained. The only time I used them with the twins was when we were first training and we were going out for a while.

    Good luck!

I'm going to try the training pants (gerber, I think) that my MIL bought. I don't want to get caught in Pull Ups. (Not saying it won't happen, but going to try to avoid it) Pampers is rich enough off of us ;)

I used the Gerber too and loved them. They worked great once my DD realized she was going and could stop and run to the bathroom. When she would stll go with no regard, they did leak. Good Luck!

I have used the thick gerber training pants with the seperate rubber pants. It works ok, and I like that it really gives them the uncomfortable feeling, unlike pullups. I have never tried the all in one pants, nor seen them yet. But if that do get wet, the seperate rubber pants will leak if you don't change them right away. but it holds well enough that you don't have to changes their shorts all the time. IHTH :)
