What are some good DS games for 5 year olds?

Both kids can sorta-kinda read, so I don't think that the games have to be completely wordless.

We're planning on giving them our old DSs for their birthday instead of their Leapsters, and want to have a good list of games so we can go to GameStop and buy used ones.

Also, Irene, want to buy two leapsters this summer? Only one has been puked on.

That should say love. here is the link to the game we have, in fact both girls have it for their DS (or both did not sure I know where both games are now). I'm pretty sure we also have the build a bear hugs but I don't remember my girls playing it. One of my girls liked the cooking mama game.

I suppose they're getting the DSs sooner, rather than later. I couldn't deal with the television today (Royce is home sick) so I just gave him mine to play on. Of course, I had to get some games since I only have older child to adult games. So I got Digging for Dinosaurs for him, and Pinkalicious for her from Game Stop.

But I still need more game names. . .Build a Bear, I think I have that one somewhere. :smilie_xmas_116:

Nintendogs & Cats and Mario Kart are the twins favorites right now.

If you are getting the games used at game stop, you can return it within 5-7 days (forgot which) if your kids don't like it. We have done that with a few games that are duds.

Are they regular leapsters, not LMAX or explorer? If so, I could use 1 (we have 1 that works still--knock on one) prefer the non-puked on one. :)

We have just a few DS games. Mario, Pet Show, and Phineas and Ferb. I really need to get more DS games.

I am too old school for that and too lazy to have different games :)

My 5 yr old loves loves loves anything lego. She (yes, you read that right), loves Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Indiana Jones and will sit and play it for hours if I let her. We also love Mario Kart, and Mario and Sonic at the olympic winter games.
