What age for the Circus?

The girls' godmother has free tickets to the circus and I'm wondering if it will even be of interest to them. My sister never liked the circus because it was too loud but the girls don't seem to have that problem. WDYT?

 

They do seem a little young...but if the tickets are free and YOU might enjoy it then I say go for it. We're taking our kids to the circus in June..but my kids are almost 4, and over 2....so I think they might get more out of it than an 18 month old would...

 

We're taking ours this weekend to the Ringling Brothers Circus. I'm hoping they will like it! We tried around 18 months to take them to the Shriner's Circus b/c we had free tix and it was too overstimulating (lights, loud music, etc.) and had to leave pretty early. Hopefully we'll do better this time!

 

Like the others said, it is free. Even if you have to leave early, I am sure they will enjoy part of it. I took the kids to Sesame Street live last month and they LOVED it. I thought they may be a little too young, but we made it through it and DS was more interested in the lights than he was the actually show!

 

We took them last summer. They were 18 months old. DH got free tickets from work. We went with the expectation that we would leave when they were getting dis-interested and restless-- it never happened and we ended up staying for the whole show. They were mesmerized by all the action adn sat on our laps very well.

 

i used to teach preschool, 3 and 4 yo. one time we took the kids on trip to the circus. it was too loud for many of them, and they were really not interested. i think this one was ringling bros.

when i was in hs i used to volunteer for a first grade teacher. we went on a trip to the circus with the kindergartners and other 1st grade classes. ALL of the kindergarten kids were sleeping about half way through. this was a shriners circus.

 

We took my girls last month. They had a blast. There was so much for them to see.

 

I have 18 month old twin boys and we took them to the Laurie Berkner concert a few weeks ago and they had a great time! It was loud and I was concerned that they wouldn't do well, but the did fine and they sat on our laps or danced at their seats the whole time! I'd think your girls would do fine and since the tix are free you can always leave early!
