    Hi Ladies,

I haven't been on TS much lately, but I had to break the news to somebody! After not being on birth control for almost 7 years, and having IVF twins, I found out this week that I'm seven weeks pregnant!

I know there are stories about this kind of thing happening all the time, but we are still in shock!

I'm hoping not to be as paranoid this time around, and just enjoy being pregnant with one, but I suspect I will still be paranoid this go round.

I look forward to spending time on this board.

    Jennifer :)

Congratulations! That's a wonderful miracle! I also am preggers with my twins thanks to IVF. May I ask you a personal question? In your infertility battle, was it male factor or female factor that contributed to your infertility? We have male factor only and wonder if we would ever be pleasantly surprised like you! TIA! Many congrats!

I'm not shy at all...I have PCOS, my husband is very healthy, no issues.

Between a long family vacation, Hurricane Ike, and a horrible cold, pregnancy was the last thought on my mind! I only tested because my GYN wanted to give me some prevara to give me a period (I had gone in for my pap smear a few weeks ago and mentioned I hadn't had one in awhile) and you have to test before taking prevara. In retrospect, my periods had been somewhat regular for me lately(5.5 weeks apart), but still wouldn't think I'd be ovulating with my funky body.

    Congratulations!

I remember looking for your posts last year since our babies were born days apart (and I believe you're also in Texas?) As you can see from my signature, I'm also pregnant...and also did IVF to get my twins! You're a little behind me this time, but congratulations again! I, too, was in complete shock (and a bit of denial since I didn't think it could happen.)

P.S. For the above poster who asked, our infertility was due to male factor infertility that was severe enough we had to do ICSI to get embryos. So it can definitely happen when you least expect it! ETA: Plus, I got pregnant while still breastfeeding.

Welcome to the club :D !!

My twins are the result of IVF too (after TTC for 5 years) This pregnancy was a huge shock and also found out at around 7 weeks. Strangely though this pregnancy with just one has been MUCH harder then my multiple pregnancy.

    Congratulations!!
