Hey everyone, my Dr had my hopes up 2 weeks ago at my appt, saying he didn't think I would go more than 2 or 2 and a half weeks because of my blood pressure and swelling, so I thought when I went in Thurs he would schedule the c-section this week, we'll although my swelling is still horrible my blood pressure is good so he didn't want to the them and set my c-section for Jan 21st. I will b 37 weeks 2 days which I know is best for the girls, I am just in so much pain and can't get comfortable. I know ya'll understand. The only thing I'm doing these days is laying around, although still painful, it's the most comfortable I can get. The time is just passing at a snails pace now, especially since I can't sleep and am up most of the night. Besides watching t.v and reading what did ya'll do in the end to pass the time?

So glad you are still going strong, though this part feels like it's going on forever, I know. I realize it may be the last thing you want to do but what about getting a hair cut? I had someone come to the house so I didn't have to travel and I could lie down if need be. That haircut lasted me probably five months! I would also do little jobs in 15 minute increments to get ready for babies. I also did thank you notes from my showers so those weren't hanging over my head. Other than that it was a lot of Netflix. Good luck with the home stretch!

There are SO many things I would have done differently if I had to do it again :

    1. Get your baby books started
    2. Did you do belly shots or maternity shots, if so do a little scrapbook for yourself /DH/the twins
    3. Write letters to your twins
    4. Enjoy the one on one time with your DH
    5. Get nursery bedding and clothes ready/washed
    6. Your hospital bag ready. ( check out the must have sticky!!!! Trust me you'll need it, no lie it was my check list!)
    7. Get your homecoming and twins homecoming outfits ready.
    8. Get a pedicure!
    9. If you're like most of us you'll have the crib but the twins will sleep in a co-sleeper or pnp get that set up in your room or where its going to be.
    10. Get the swings or other things like that set up so you're not trying to do that with newborns.

Wash all baby clothes for newborn, 0-3m and 3-6m. Nobody wants to sort wash, dry and fold all that with twinfants and no sleep.

Get freezer meals - 10+ readied. Even if that means asking a girlfriend to come over and chat/make a meal for you in your kitchen.

Watch The Happiest Baby on the Block. I rented it from the library. It's 1/2 hr and well worth your time.

Read the Weissbluth sleep book for info on schedules.

If you are planning on nursing, get #s handy for help if you need it after the babies are born.
