We've narrowed down the list.... I think...

Okay here are my options... just trying to see if writing them out here helps me decide any faster!!

Serena Luisa
Julia Luisa
Julianna Luisa
Juliana Luisa
Julia Serena...


Right now I think dh is leaning toward Juliana.... I like it, but I am having a hard time giving up the name Serena Luisa for some reason... and I didn't even like it that much at first... but then my kids started picking up the name and it sounds so cute coming from their mouths...so now I'm having a hard time giving it up...it's like I bonded with that name! is that weird??... Our last name begins with an 'S' and has four syllables to it.

Emmalene, Avielle, Judah and Serena???
or
Emmalene, Avielle, Judah and Juliana???

 

I love Juliana, I think it is so cute and sounds great with your other kids names!

 

I like them both. Would lean towards Juliana as it sounds so nice with your other names, but do you mind if people call her "Jules" as it seems so many Julias, Juliannes and Juliana's I know all get shortened down to Jules. If you don't like that - might want to go with Serena or get ready to constantly correct people. Serena seems more nickname proof. We have a Nathan and DH hates "Nate" and "Nat" so we find ourselves correcting people all the time when they try to call him one or the other. Just something to consider.

 

Actually I love nicknames... we call Emmalene, "emma" as her normal name... and Avielle is occasionally "Ellie"... Judah is not quite as nickname friendly, but when he's older if he prefers we can call him "Jude"...right now we will occasionally call him "Juders" when we are being silly. (Can't exactly say Judie...so we had to do something!!) But with Juliana I think I would prefer the nickname "Julie"... actually my only real objection to Serena is that it really doesn't have any nice nickname... My name is Susanna and I had at least 4 variations growing up, and I loved being able to change my name like a personality. But I do know some people who can't stand that.

 

I love the name Juliana. It was one of my choices if we had a girl.

 

I like Julianna better than Julia but not Serena...

 

I usually don't comment on names- it's all so personal and as you can tell from reading everyone's posts, each person has a different favorite. However, as soon as I read Serena Luisa I LOVED it! I think it's a winner!

Well, as you can see from my ticker we decided on Julianna Luisa... it was a hard call but dh really preferred Julianna to Serena... it's growing on me...
