Today I was busy slaying away in the bathroom that we are remodeling, removing the 4 layers of wall paper that the previous owners put up and were to lazy to remove before putting up more. Anyways, that's a whole another vent. While I was in the bathroom the boys were suppose to napping and DH was watching Hannah play in the living room. I kept hearing a "little" voice by the bathroom door; I ignored it for a few minutes thinking theres no way it would be one of the kids, they were napping. I finally open the door and there is Collin. The little stinker climbed out of his bed. The bad thing is neither DH or I heard him climb out. I don't know how he did it, but he did. What do we do now? Switch to toddler beds? Or just hope he doesn't climb out anymore?! It was super funny though because DH was so amazed that he actually got out without getting caught. UGH! I'm dreading this.

OH I am not looking forward to the girls doing that!!

It's probably time to move to a toddler bed (w/ my boys we just went straight to a twin size w/ a bed rail!)
chances are since he did it once he will do it again! it's a new cool trick!!

you do have to give the little guy credit for not getting caught!! 8) !!

it's still early for me personally, so I'd go for a crib tent!

It looks like it's time for either a crib tent or a toddler bed. Personally, I would try to keep him/them in the crib as long as possible. Good Luck!

Owen did that too. He only did it once though. I would watch and see if he does it again. Would save you money on the crib tent.

We had this problem last week. Sofia learned to climb out and she is so stealthy I didn't hear her until I heard the bedroom door open. She climbed out the following day and I just put her back in. We have started reminding her she needs to stay in bed and that has worked so far (I do realize ours a quite a bit older than yours so that might make a difference). We are in the middle of a cross-country move so we just don't have the option at the moment to switch them. You could always just try putting him back a few times. For us it happened at naptime. She has yet to come out at bedtime. You can also try the crib tents. Good luck!

My boys also were climbers. They could do it FAST.
We went for crib tents, and those were great, BUT don't expect to be able to have them sleep anywhere else. Packnplays are even easier to climb out of!
We finally recently took off the crib tents and took a side off of each crib so they are like toddler beds. I wanted them to get used to sleeping in relative "freedom" so we could eventually go out of town or just to my parents' cabin and have them sleep.
It was actually a pretty easy transition, and now they sleep in their "toddler beds" just fine, so I'm hoping next time we're in a hotel a bed won't seem so weird to them.
Good luck, it's a tough time but they'll make it through fine!
