We're Home!

    Hello everyone!

    Our boys are here! As I posted earlier this week, we went in on Wednesday for our scheduled 10:00 C-section. Everything went really well, aside from having to wait forever to be taken to the OR and then having to wait on my OB - long story, but it wasn't his fault. William Ryan was born at 12 noon and John Colton was born at 12:02pm. Our boys were the celebrities of L&D this week, as all of their measurements at birth were EXACTLY the same! Both boys were 5lbs7oz and 18" long. They both scored an 8 on their 1 min APGAR and a 9 on their 5 min. They had the same head and stomach measurements. And they look exactly alike! The only difference was that John needed a big of oxygen when he first was born, but that's it! They had absolutely no NICU time, and we all came home this afternoon. They haven't quite gotten the hang of breastfeeding, but I've been able to pump for them - and we haven't had to supplement with formula since this morning!

    I have no idea how to post pictures, but there are plenty on our blog.

    Cute pics! Are your boys identical? That's cool about their measurements. Makes it east to remember. My boys (born 2.5 years apart) were the exact same height and weight. I joke that that is how big my uterus can grow.

    They are so cute....congrats on the wonderful birth, weights, and being home. I just spent 30 minutes reading your blog. It was very captivating and funny. Welcome to FY.
