Sebastian & Orion were born 2 years ago today. :birthday: It's kind of surreal as like many of you, I remember that day VERY clearly. :)

I have a question for you ladies about booster chairs. They drive me nuts with tipping. How do you stop it? Currently I sit between them and put a thigh on each one, but if there is a better solution out there, I need it.

    Happy birthday boys!!

We didn't use booster chairs for very long. We ended up buying them a little table and chairs.

    :bday: Sebastian & Orion!

Hmmm, we never had a problem with tipping so I am not sure. What type of boosters are you using?

I'm actually not sure. They are matching cheapies I found at Goodwill- basically they are completely plastic with no fabric.

    :bday: Orion! :bday: Sebastian!

As for the boosters...I think we had a set of the cheap plastic ones-they were blue/white. I despised them. So we ditched them. They've been sitting on their knees ever since! Is that an option? Poor Anthony still doesn't reach the table if he sits on his bottom. His chin rests perfectly on it.

Annabella turned 2 in June, and she sits on the chair herself as well.

    Happy Birthday Kiddos!!!!!

Do they have trays on them? I kept the trays on for a long time so they couldn't lean too far forward (we have the fisher price ones).

I have my kids (who are in boosters) back up to a wall now. This happened because DS fell backward from pushing off the table with his feet and split the back of his head open. 5 staples later, I decided the chairs needed to be moved.

Which way are the chairs tipping?

They like to push their feet against the table- it's round and has a pedestal in the middle. So they are tipping back the whole chair/booster/themselves.

This chair doesn't have a tray... Hmm. I wonder if a tray would help...

    Meg,

I'm not sure they are ready for the freedom of sitting without being strapped in. Or maybe, I'm not ready for them to have that kind of freedom.

Happy Birthday to your little boys!

We removed the safety straps before their second birthday and they have been sitting or kneeling (they are still small and hardly reach the table properly) much more quietly since then. One - closely supervised (more like faked) - incident of falling was enough to convince them with natural consequences that sitting still was as necessary as we said and they love being "big" enough to climb into their chairs, sit at the table and get up on their own like the adults when they are done (after asking permission of course). I would give it a try - they may surprise you.

We used booster for a few days if that, then ditched them...but yeah, DS still has issues getting up from the table during meals and it's driving me nuts.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Guys!!!!!!! ( sorry I am so late!!)

We also ditched the boosters. I was so proud of myself for buying them and the high chairs went to storage. It was maybe 2 weeks and the high chairs were out of storage and the boosters went in. I never brought them back - we have a tall table and it was a disaster waiting to happen.
