and my twins have this thing of walking all over me throughout the store. And then they want to touch everything and get into stuff and not listen. I felt like an a$$ getting on to my kids thoughout the whole 47 minutes I was in that store. Egad! Then I am checking out, my son is trying to help...I am in a hurry and bap - I hit him right in the head. He starts to cry, I am frustrated and pleading with him to just stand back and let Mommy do it--his feelings get hurt, then I feel like crap and it's just a viscious cycle.

    Anyone else go through this?

Every single time i take them out.
Its kids and Walmart that don't mix. Lately I've been sticking them in the wagon instead of walking b/c they would touch everything. Being kids of course Walmart is toyland dream, but a parents nightmare.

What is it about Walmart??!!! I don't know why I even continue to take the kids there with me, it just ends up being a horribly stressful trip!

I can honestly say I have not done it with twins (yet) but with my older son I like going to Walmart. Usually we do pretty good. I have always given him a toy or book when we get tot the store with the understanding that he does not get to keep it. He sits in the cart. That may be a big part of it. For some reason (haha) I like to keep him right where he can get into the least amount of trouble. Now, my life is going to really change in a few months when the twins want more and when he's still under 4 yrs of age. Twins - they do make it harder going out and about. My hat is off to you ladies in the trenches.

Gosh u should have seen me trying to go for a small walk last month. It started fine but at the end I felt terrible. So our fave park has a small walk around through the woods. The kids are hardly ever interested but this day they were. So we went and all is going good till Molly steps in poop, and tries to clean it herself. So then a man with a big dog comes and the dog is barking and stretching his chain to the limit so I am trying to hurry my kids on. Well Molly decides she wants to insist on petting the "puppy" and the boys decide to take off kinda quick in the opposite direction. So hear I am yelling at the boys to please wait while Molly is trying her hardest to head back. Then I notice that since it had rained recently the woods kinda have a small pond going on. So now I am worried about the body of water next to us while my boys are running off.By the time we hit the end of the path where the car was I was yelling Hurry Up to Molly and Hold on to the boys all at the same time. I felt terrible. Luckily during our month review I can see we had a lot fo fun before heading on the walk and I know the daywas not lost I just wish it hadnt ended that way. Well now I know not to tackle the path on my own. Its not even a big one but I guess to big for us.

I still only go to Wal-Mart with the girls if I have someone else with me. ;)

I make my "helper" sit in the blue carriage attachment with the twins because it drives me so nuts. Also I have been known to just go at night after THEY ALL GO TO BED! Seems to be the cure to the problem!

Wal Mart, Target, the grocery store... Any place they have it in their mind that they want to walk and help. I've been putting my foot down lately and forcing them into the cart. I'm a bad mom. I'll let them sit in the actual cart and not the seat if it means they are trapped. They get to "hold" everything we get that way. Or I'll take the oldest and have her push one and I push the other. My heels pay for it since she can't drive a cart for anything. We're quite the side show. "OUCH!" "Sorry Mom." "OUCH! Back off Please!" "Sorry Mom." Meanwhile, my eight year old is asking for everything in sight in the hopes that I'm so distracted by the pain that I'll say yes.
Did I mention that I hate shopping with them?
