Went to the Dr Yesterday

Everything is looking great!! Megan is moving ALOT and has decided to take up residence on my right side right under my ribs! She also has decided that she is a night owl and midnight is her PARTY TIME!! :laughing: Oh well, at least when she moves I know she is OK in there!!

My heartburn has not gotten any better since I started taking the Zantac and Mylanta, so Dr J put me on a med called Protonix...so far so good!! She told me this is her favorite heartburn med and she uses it too...as does her nurse. She gave me 2 weeks worth of samples...so if it works well, I can call her back for a Rx to be called in.

I had my Glucose and Iron tests yesterday and everything looked great there...Both were normal! :banana: Megan is 3 lbs now and Dr J said she looks great! If she coninues to gain 1/2 lb/week this month and 1 lb/week next month, she will be around 7 lbs at birth! Oh, and I am FINALLY gaining weight!! Last appt I was still 1 1/2 lbs less than my pre-preggo weight (well my weight at 11 weeks which was my first appt) since I was so sick with the m/s for the first 4 months. Well now I am at 170 lbs...2 lbs ABOVE that 11-week appt!! :a_smil09: I was starting to get worried that I wasn't gaining enough weight, but Dr J assures me that Megan is gaining fine and I will start gaining more here towards the end.

We (DH and I) also went by the hospital last night and did a L&D tour. The hospital and rooms are really nice! They even have special rooms for post-c-sections that have a walk-in shower instead of a tub. Each room also has a couple chairs, a fold-out couch, and a rocking chair. It's a really nice facility!

So that is about all that is going on here. Just 8 1/2 weeks to go!!

Ohh.. walk in shower.. SWEET!!! I never toured either of the hospitals I delivered at. .. not because of early arrivals, just never did. Glad to hear you are finally gaining! Glad she is active, even though it is at midnight! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful!

OMG Christa, I can't believe that you only have 8 weeks left! Sounds like everything is going as planned.

 

Sounds like things are going really well. I'm glad to hear it. I can't believe that you are almost 30 weeks.
