well, i'm done!

i officially stopped pumping. last night was my last time. i was barely able to squeeze out drops, so decided that was it!
when teh girls were born, i bf-ed exclusively for a few weeks, then pumped/bf-ed for a little bit, then exclusively pumped. you all know my story! the struggle to get them back on my boobs. i tried EVERYTHING. nothing worked. my girls are very strong-willed lol finally at 6 1/2 months i realized it just wasn't gonna happen (bf-ing), but i continued pumping. i didn't really make short-term goals. i just had one goal: a year. and i did it! one year, one week, and 4 days!
tho i'm still feeling the guilt of accidentally weaning my girls from the breast, i'm so proud of myself for pumping this long! i met my goal! GO ME!!!! :drinks: my girls got boobie milk for one year!

and i want to thank all of you that were here supporting me and encouraging me and helping me thru all my struggles while trying so hard to breastfeed. i appreciate you guys for that! i will definitely be coming back here for your support when i have another baby!

I don't think I could have juggled twin infants AND a breast pump for an entire year.... I loathed pumping!! Honestly, your achievement is ABSOLUTELY amazing to me. You should be nothing but proud. :hug:

Well my goodness, where could they have gotten that from? You have always flat-out amazed me with your determination! You tried so hard to get them to the breast, and then stuck it out for more than a year of pumping. Great job mama! :bow2:

 

You are amazing!!! I am crying because I couldn't do what you did, but I do admire you so much for it! Be proud - pumping is HARD! I dare anyone to say otherwise... what a wonderful Mama you are.

wow, you guys all gave me goose bumps! i'm actually a little choked up here! i love my LC, but i love you guys just the same. i NEVER got this much support from family/friends! (minus my one cousin who would always say, "breast is best!" she stood by me, and i love her for it, too)
i'm glad i'm an inspiration to some of you, that makes me feel so good! and i hope i can help out here with other moms/future moms :wub:
