Well here is a new one...

About a week ago, a small lump appeared on my left shoulder, right next to my neck. It didn't hurt, but it got larger, so I made an appointment with my GP (thinking this had nothing to do with my pregnancy).

Imagine my shock today, when after examining me, my doctor chuckles and informes me that it is the top of my LUNG poking up behind my collarbone!!! His medical student was facinated and they listened at my "lung" on this lump.

He said it shouldn't cause me any problems and that they sometimes see this with pregnant women (although not this early in the pregnancy).

So there you go...

I tell you what that must have given you a shock. I have never heard of anything like that. Hope it's not painful.
I cant believe some of the things that happen during pregnancy. :excl:

 

I am short of breath, but probably no more or less than anyone else on this board. I did break both of my collarbones as a kid, and the one on my left (where the lump is) sticks out more than the other one.

I'm feeling paranoid about "protecting" the lump. I hope it doesn't get any bigger!

I'm not having any pain, but now I'm paranoid about it. It wasn't bothering me at all before, but now that I know what it is, it "bothers me".

I didn't want to lay on my left side last night, because I felt like I was squishing it!! :laughing:

That is definitely new, never heard that before.

 

Wow -- that is far out.... I NEVER would have guessed.... the body is an amazing thing...
