Welcome to the World Josie and Libbey!

Josephine Marie and Elizabeth Nicole were born on Friday the 13th via c-section at 37 weeks one day!!! The night of the 12th my pre-eclampsia symptoms were worsening and my contractions were increasing so the doctor told me to head into labor & delivery asap !!!! We stayed up all night wondering and waiting and trying to grasp the reality of WE ARE HAVING TWINS!!! Finally (after a tiny hypoglycemic episode) we went into the operating room. It all happened so fast! Spinal tap in, curtain up, Vince called back...............

at 12:00 Josephine Marie was born at 6 pounds 14 ounces (so our baby B became baby A at the last minute), and at 12:02 Elizabeth Nicole was born at 7 pounds 4 ounces!!!!! No NICU time!!!!

Its been a tense couple of days for us. The girls (despite being fraternal) were born with identical birth defects on their hands and feet. After much testing (hearts, brains, you name it) we are reasonably certain the issues are merely cosmetic and easily corrected once they get older. They have some webbing of their fingers and toes as well as extra bones in their big toes and thumbs but seem to be otherwise PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL and light up my life Thank you for all of your love and support

Congratulations on your new babies! How interesting that they have the same small anomalies (sp?)- even though they are fraternal. Mysteries of life- so unique.
