Today I have no been feeling normal. First, I went to lunch and had to run into Walgreens for one thing and while I was in there I got really dizzy, hot, naucious, and felt like if I didn't sit I was going to faint. I got a gatorade while I was there and sat in my car and sipped on it with my AC on full blast until I felt ok to drive. Then about 2 hours later I was sitting at my desk and the same thing happened so I went into our conference room where we have a recliner and just layed there for about 20 minutes. I don't know if this is normal? I had similar issues when I was having morning sickness but haven't had that since 14 weeks.
I went into the dr yesterday because of really bad pains in my lower right tummy and they checked the babies and everything was fine. Anyone know what might be going on? Or am I just pregnant and need to quit whining? haha

I remember when I was pregnant with the twins and almost passing out in the dentist chair (I like going to the dentist, so it was not anxiety over that) but feeling hot, sick to my stomach, dizzy. Not a good feeling. For me the feelings passed after a week or so but I would say if this continues for you, definitely mention it to your doctor. I hope your feeling better soon!

I had similar experiences beginning around week 21 or so (I am 27 weeks now). It happened 4 times in one weekend and it was almost like clockwork - as soon as I would get into a store and be up and about for about 20 minutes I would start "going down", as I described it to my Dr. Anyway, my Dr told me she was pretty sure it was probably just low blood sugar and that I needed to eat more protein and eat more often. I am on bedrest now (totally unrelated issue), but up until the bedrest, I never went anywhere without all sorts of snacks/drinks in my purse. That definitely helped. Good luck!

I tend to have low blood sugar (even before I was preggo) and that is how I feel. I always make sure I have some kind of sugar with me to make it through those moments. Targets "Archer Farms" has all natural fruit strips that are great to keep in the purse (soon to be diaper bag!).

I've had this exact thing happen to me a few times, and when I called my doc she said that sometimes, especially with twins, a baby can be putting pressure on one of your body's main blood vessels (I think the aorta?) down near your uterus and it can cause your blood pressure to fall, resulting in the symptoms you were experiencing. She said that when it happens to drink lots of water and lay dawn on your left side. So if it is not low blood sugar like some pp have mentioned, it could also be that the baby/babies are putting pressure on that major vessel. It's not a fun feeling though, is it? Good luck!

Glad that laying down/relaxing made you feel better :good:
I remember feeling that way on occasion during my pregnancy as well..and it was scary!
Staying hydrated is so so important, so when you think you have had enough fluids....drink more!!
Be sure to let your OB know how you are feeling as well, I remember my OB getting upset w/ me because I didn't tell her that I was feeling 'off'.
Hang in here & try to get some rest

I've had similar symptoms, like a migraine, so I've taken Tylenol and laid down. I felt a lot better. It's happened about 4 times total during the whole pregnancy. Let you Dr. know and see what she/he says...

I had the same feeling couple of time ( during 14-16 weeks) and I was sure that my Bp is dropping so I have machine at home and check my bp and it was normal so I was really surprise why I feeling that dizzy and hot. so for me it wasn't bp it was low blood sugar.
If your blood sugar drop you will feel liek you are ready to faint and you never did. as suggestion DO NOT EAT anything sweet on the empty stomach. and sweet staff always working good with protein. it will not so much increase your blood sugar if you eat it after protein food.

    Good luck and feel better.

I know when I get this feeling it is b/c my sugar has dropped. I am not diabetic but many of my family members are and when I explained the feeling they knew exactly what was going on. It happened w/ my last pregnancy and it has always randomly happened to me since I was about 17 so I know to get something to eat when I start to feel it. I usually get some Peanut Butter toast or a candy bar. Orange juice works good too.
It happened so much with my last pregnancy that if I was going to be in the car for more than a 1/2 hr I would pack a P.B. sandwich just in case. It happened one morning at the end of an O.B. visit that they were taking blood and the doc called me the next day to ask if I had eaten breakfast, I told her yes but it had been earlier and I knew I was feeling wierd when I left so I had a granola bar in the car that I downed. She said, "oh, good, I am glad you are on top of it b/c your blodd sugar was 41!!!"
Anyway, I hope this helps as it sounds like the same feelings I get when this happens. Take care!
