For the last few days, I get really dizzy, headachy and slightly nauseaous from some of my stronger BH. Again, I really do not think they are anything more then just a BH. I am thinking maybe one of the girls is pushed up against a vein or artery when this happens causing the effect. I am going to call my OB on Monday if it hasn't stopped and I will go in if they get much worse over the weekend. But at the moment, I am just looking to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

    TIA

I get a bit of an "aura" right before some of my BH that then sort of gradually climbs and resides. It is hard to explain but seems to start with a quickening of my heart rate and rises to my head ending with light headedness and a bit of an out of it feeling.

I was just talking to my friend who had her little boy two weeks ago about this. I asked her if she remembered feeling her chest get tight during BH she said she didn't get that. I think it may be something unique to twin pregnancies and how far up our uterus is. I feel like my chest is being constricted. It's kind of a wierd pressure I am rambling because it is hard to describe. Yes I do get light headed and kind of dizzy nothing major but noticeable. I just read the pp and that is exactly how it feels. Heart rate increases and then I feel it in my head then I realize I am having a contraction. I have been having a lot of them today and feel pretty out of it right now. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks ladies! This makes me feel better. I will probably still call on Monday, but I am going to try not to worry about it too much over the weekend.

I was on L&D the other morning with contractions & the nurse asked how I knew one was coming before it did (I called it & had one). I always get a chest tightening feeling, then flushed/lightheaded with racing heartrate, then the contraction comes & the other feelings last until it's all done. It's so weird. I get smaller BH that only last a few seconds, those I don't get the tight chest or wooziness, just the hard belly. The nurse said she had never HEARD of anyone getting a tight chest, so I'm glad to hear someone else out there does! When I consistently getting the stronger ones with all those symptoms, I'm just drained once they stop. I get nauseated & just feel out of it.

Must have something to do with twin mommies, but my uterus was only measuring 5 weeks ahead at my last appt, so I don't know. As much as I hate the additional symptoms, it is nice to get a bit of an 'aura' before the contraction. Like I said, I don't get that as much with my littler ones.

Still a good thing to pass on to your doc. I plan to mention it to mine, but figured if my vitals stayed fine during the contractions (and the babies' too), then I won't worry about it.

    Hang in there!
