Hi Ladies--just wondering if any of you remember or know what the Doc said the babies weighed around 18 weeks or so. My doc said 11 oz each....taht seems so low, but i Know they grow teh majority of time later. He definitely wasn't worried and said everything looked fine, so really just kind of curious.

Trying to remember.... I think that sounds about right.....

Next time just ask him what percent that puts them in. That might ease your mind. I know at one apt I asked if they were kinda small and my doc said no not at all they have been in the 60th percent and that made me feel so much better.

I just had my 20 wk ultrasound and mine are only 10 oz each so i'm WAY behind you! But they've (OBGyn and perinatologis) not said anything looks bad or wrong with their development. One measured 19 wks, 5 days and the other 19 wks, 3 days. I'm checking in Thursday so maybe i'd better be asking the percentile question too!

At my 20 week u/s both of my girls were 13 oz. each. My peri said they were both good weights and happy that they were the same size! Since mine are identical we are constantly monitering for signs of TTTS. As long as your doctors seem happy with everything, I wouldn't worry too much!

i went back to look at what mine where at that time.. the only ones that i found were from 16w they were 6 and 7 oz, and then when i got the weights again they were 22w they were 1.1 and 1.3 lbs.. so from the look of it those sound like good weights for you two.

But if your dr isn't worried then I try not to worry too much about it either. They would let you know if they were measuring too small or if they wanted them to be bigger..

Mine were both at 10 oz at 18/19 wks. At 21 wks they were 1 lb and 1.1 lb each. Sounds like they are right on track!

My singleton baby thing I get from some website showed baby at 7 oz at 18 wks, and 13 oz at 21 wks, so the twins are ahead of what the average singleton is! :D

18w5d they were both 9oz and as you can see in my signature they grew quite well. Your weights sound just fine!

Mine were just below 1lbs at 20 weeks, 2lbs11oz (both) at 26w, 4lbs5oz and 4lbs6oz at 30 weeks, and lower 6lbs range at 34 weeks, but always measuring ahead. 11oz sounds very good!

That's wonderful and good work! At 19 weeks our babies weighed 11 and 12 ounces - 5 weeks later they weighed 1.7 pounds and 1.9 pounds and have continued to gain weight at the same rate as a singleton baby. It's amazing how quickly they grow! As long as they are growing together and the doctor says they both look healthy, that's all I would focus on.
