I am scheduled to have my little boys this coming Tuesday the 5th!! I think so far with this pregnancy I have gained about 45 pounds, and almost all of it has been in my stomach, and of course that LOVELY water weight!! I was just wondering how long it took everyone to lose their weight, and if you did anything other than take care of the babies to help! :D I'm not going to be breastfeeding, so I'm not going to have that in my favor unfortunately  Any suggestions would be amazing!! I can't deal with this weight much longer!! Especially knowing there wont be babies in there anymore!!! :p

I gained 45 and have lost 65 since they were born. I am breastfeeding though and for me, that is how I lost it. Give yourself time. Remember, it took 9 months to get on and should take at least that to get off if you aren't BF. You'll be surprised how much comes off in the first month or so.

    Congrats on your babies!!!

I gained 42 pounds, and I'm still trying to lose some of it. ;) I did BF, but that didn't work in my favor at all. I gained 10 pounds while BF'ing. But I spent 15 weeks on bedrest, so my metabolism was out of wack after delivery.

I gained 47 and lost it all within 2 weeks after delivery. Annnnnd, promptly gained 20 back in 18 months afterwards. Good luck!!

I gained 95lbs! I still have 5 extra lbs that I can't get rid of but I was back in my size 4 jeans by the time they were 6 months. I did exclusively nurse for the first 6 months though. Looking at it from my perspective of having gained 95 I'm sure you'll have no problem losing 45. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't come flying right off though, I left the hospital only 8 lbs lighter than when I went in. I do want to tell you your body does go back to normal though, even if you can't imagine how :) . Good luck with your little ones!

I'm way backwards. I came out of the hospital weighing less than when I got pregnant ... BUT I only gained 17 lbs during my entire pregnancy.

That being said, I gained weight after I had them, because our schedules were so screwed up I found myself eating anything I could find whenever I could find a minute. So I started gaining weight from all the pizza/chinese/mcdonalds that became our staples, because no one wanted to or had time to cook. But this was something you can control. If you have a lot of family/friends who want to help, ask them to bring you meals! Boy, we could have used more hot, decent, healthy meals!

    Good luck!

I gained 55lbs. When I left the hospital, I hadn't lost a pound due to horrible water weight. I did lose about 25lbs within the first 3-4 weeks. Then lost about another 15lbs by 4 months pp. I didn't lose the last 15lbs until the boys were about 8 months old. I'm now about 5lbs under prepreg weight. I did bf for 8 months and that's what I attribute to the weight loss. Now, if I could get rid of the "twin skin" I'd happily gain back about 10 lbs. ;)

I gained about 40 pounds and when I left the hospital, I weighed 5 pounds MORE than when I entered to deliver! I'm of no help in terms of telling you how long it will be before you lose it because I nursed and continue to nurse and lose weight. My husband said my weight loss was bordering creepy. I just want to tell you not to freak out if you're actually heavier pp than pregnant. It will go away within a couple of weeks (the water weight). I rermber my hand looking like a bear claw in all the pictures in the NICU. I would post before and after but it's too embarassing.

I gained 45 pounds with the twins too. I lost 20 pounds in 24 hours of having them. (literally).

I also BF'ed and was in my pre-pregnancy pants at my 2 week check up. I just tried to eat healthy and no empty calories.

    good luck tomorrow!

I gained 50 lbs and lost all but 5 of it by 6 weeks PP. However, I have lost nothing else since then and I still have a weird jelly belly <_< . I haven't been exercising at all so hopefully when I add that back in, the belly will shrink! Oh, and mine are EBF, so I think that helped drop so much so fast.

Wishing you a healthy delivery and speedy recovery :D !

Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your little ones! It’s totally understandable to feel ready to shed that pregnancy weight, especially with all the water weight and stomach changes. After having my second, I found that taking small steps worked best for me—nothing drastic. I started with light walking and gradually added in some gentle strength training. I also checked out some Beachbody reviews https://beachbody.pissedconsumer.com/review.html for workout programs that were postpartum-friendly. Even without breastfeeding, focusing on a healthy diet and staying active can really help. Remember to be kind to yourself through this process; your body just did an incredible thing!
