I am doing Body for Life- so I have 6 meals a day that are balanced with carbs and protein. I lost 4 lbs in as many weeks. I have also been working out 6 days a week-3 days of 20 minute cardio (interval training) and 3 days of weights/resistance training.
I am breastfeeding and that just wasn't enough for me. I was down to my pre pregnancy weight rather quickly but went into the pregnancy about 10 lbs or more over my ideal weight. I swear I am holding on to back fat to make milk :p Good luck!

    Hi,

I lost the twins weight by doing the following:

    1. Eat Oatmeal with frozen berries (cheaper) every morning ( a BIG BOWL)

    2. Eat vegetables with tofu and spicy sauce for lunch

    3. Eat small portion of food at dinner (I didn't make a meal of it, and couldn't anyways being so busy with twins and a 3 year old and working full timeD!) and don't forget the ice cream! (this way I never felt like I was dieting)

    4. Run 3-5x per week for 30 minutes

With this routine (even with ice cream almost every night) I went from 178 to 145 lbs and am in all my old skinny clothes now. It took about 7 months to do, but slow and steady really is the only way to get weight off and keep it off.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

I found out by accident that my secret is to cut dairy completely. I did it as a trial to fix a sensitivity in one of my DD's (I BF). It was really tough for the first week...I miss my beloved cheese. However, after two weeks I'd lost 10 pounds! I have kept it off and even include a little (very little) dairy in my diet. I don't really miss dairy. I feel so much better in many ways. If you decide to try it remember to cut ALL dairy; cheese, butter, milk, yogurt and all the hidden dairy in everything. We don't NEED dairy so it won't hurt you to cut it.

Breastfeeding! Plus I cut out all dairy due to a sensitivity in one of my daughters. I was losing about two pounds a week and eating anything I could get my hands on.

I agree with the previous poster about the dairy. Although, I prefer to keep the dairy and the 4 or 5 extra pounds... lol! I went dairy, and sugar free, with limited refined carbs, for 4 days and lost three pounds! Although, my love affair with cheese and butter won out in the end!

Drink water all day....as much as you can.
    Take Omega 3 fish oils.
Cut out carbs and fruits that are really high in sugar.
Don't drink your calories (meaning juice, pop, etc).
Don't cut out fat, you need fat to burn fat but make sure it's 'good' fat.
Don't eat carbs and fat at the same meal, do protein and fat.
