Sophie my smallest twin only weighs in at 14lbs7 at 9 months. My friends baby who is 2 months younger is weighing in a 17lbs4. They were due 2 weeks apart if i had gone full term. Do you think that Sophie she should be bigger or is this weight ok for a baby that was 8 weeks early. My friends baby also has 2 teeth and now I feel like every one is over taking Sophie. x [IMG]

Hi. I have the same worries, but I keep being told that my daughter is fine. She was also born 8 weeks early and weighed 14lbs 8oz at her 9 month appt last week. Do you do early intervention? I participate in that and have gotten a nutritionist to come out once a month and help me with her meals. She isn't a great eater and the nutritionst has given me some suggestions to help her out. Also her brother is crawling, pulling to stand and has teeth and all she is doing right now is sitting. I try not to worry, but it's hard.

Sophie is the same she isnt a great eater either. If she doesnt like something the mouth clamps shut and nothing can go in there. No doctors have said that she is to small i just worry as Jack is growing at an alarming rate! She is behind in the weight and teeth race lol but mentally she is so much further on than the other 2. She has been the one that has done eveything first but it is just because she is so small that i worry x

At 9 months my DD was 14 lbs. 11 oz. Our pedi. isn't concerned as she has been consistenly gaining weight. At 11 months she was 16lbs. so I'm guessing at her one year next month she will be around 17 lbs. As long as she is gaining weight she is fine.

If your pedi isn't worried and she is consistently gaining weight, I wouldn't worry.

I have the same problem. My little one was born at 3 and a half lbs and now at 8 and a half months is a little over 13lbs. She was over 13 and a half but then got a stomach bug and lost weight...I was devastated! So, I don't even think she'll make it to 14 and a hlaf at her 9 month chek up. [IMG] She is a mover though. She crawls and stands on everything. Her sister the bigger one is the one who just sits! [IMG] My doc isn't concerned...yet, I don't know what'll happen at her next visit.
