At the appointment yesterday I weighed in at 143 and at the appt. I had before we left on vacation which was the 13th I weighed 137. I just about fainted!!! Yesterday I had jeans and shoes on whereas the weight on the 13th was with cotton pants and no shoes and they were on different scales. BUT, I can't imagine it makes that much difference. My pre-preg weight was around 123 and I will be 20 wk on Friday. Am I gaining too much too fast? Does is slow down toward the end even though the babies are getting bigger. I am just freaking thinking if I gain 6 lbs every two weeks by the time it said and done I am going to be in the 190's or higher!!!!

i really wouldn't worry. they say to gain 20lbs by 20 weeks so by that standard you are right on track. i think the recommended gain for the entire pregnancy is 40lbs or so, if that's the case you have nothing to worry about.

i packed on a ton of weight during the 1st trimester and am weighing in at 14lbs gained at 14 weeks. everyone is different but it sounds like you are right on schedule.

It sounds like you are right on target. :good: I had gained around 20 lbs when I was 20 weeks. It'll slow down (possibly) the further along you are. I gained 50 and went to 39 weeks  I think if there was any concern your doctor would have talked to you about his concerns.

I have been gaining about 10lbs a month for the last 2 1/2 months. The last time I gained about 70lbs total (with my singleton I gain 50lbs). I am 130lbs not preggo. You are fine. My doctor thinks I am right on track... so I would not worry if I were you, it all comes off eventually! :D

i think you are doing perfectly. At 19 weeks, I had only gained 15 pounds and one nurse in Houston told me i should have gained about 20 to 25 pounds by then and that I should eat ice cream every night before bed. :) My OB here in Dallas said I was just fine as long as my babies were growing - I still follow that one nurses advice, except i eat oreos and milk every night instead of ice cream. :)
