My twins are 8 weeks old and he is gaining weight faster than she is. She is eating well, however not gaining like him. There is almost a 2lb difference when at birth they were one pound apart. Anyone else in this situation?

Yes there are. Just remember that each baby is different and although they are eating similar amounts their metabolisms are totally different. I am sure you will see lots of posts with different weights.

mine are different too... They were a little over a lb apart at birth and now (at 5.5 months/4 adjusted) they are 2.5 lbs different... though that difference appeared pretty early and then has stayed constant.

Theyr'e different babies, after all :)

Our DD also has reflux, so she hasn't gained as much. But the biggest difference I think is their length.. DD is about 2 in shorter than DS, so that accounts for a lot of the weight difference, I think.

DS was 1/2 lb bigger than DD at birth. 9 months later he's now 4 lbs bigger than she is. He's in the 75-90th percentile and she's in the 50th, so they're both healthy and proportionate. He's also 1.5" longer than she is.

My dd weighs less then ds, although she is a little longer. They eat pretty much the same. I think that is pretty normal. Try not to compare or worry. They will always have differences.

As long as they are both thriving, I wouldn't worry about it. Two different babies :) It is hard not to compare.

There is a four pound difference between my sons--at 9 months Asher was 16 lbs and Soren was 20 lbs, putting ASher in the 5th percentile and Soren the 50th. Just different babies!

I agree with pp, two different babies will gain weight differently. I say as long as they are both eating well, and thriving, then I'm sure they are doing great!
