My twins' weight as of 20.5 months (they'll be 21 mos old tomorrow). I took my son to the DR last week because he had a fever of 103.5 and knew it was not from teething as he have almost all of his tooth except for 2nd molar in the back. I jump at the chance to go and learned he has another ear infection (4th one) but never had the 'double ear infection'. He has ALWAYS been a picky eater (never) eat his plate full compared to my daughter. I've been making his plate a bit smaller portion since I'd hate to see food going waste.

Anyway, I learned that my son, Justin weight at 27 lbs and 10 oz. and he is 34" and my daughter weight 28lbs and 5 oz. 32-1/2 inches. I know my son is going to be tall and very lean while my daughter has a big bone/very muscler. I'm still waiting for her to jump at her 'growth spurt' but they both wear size 24 mos since they were about 15/16 mos.

I didn't ask the Pedi because I was too busy thinking about my damn garage sale when he was sick at the same time! I will be calling the Pedi again tomorrow because he has not been eating very well over 4 days period since he took the antibotics. I am wondering if that what side effect is making him not eat? And I know he probably lost weight since his check-up last week of Monday. It is just that it is different this time with his reaction than past ear infection.

Bottom line I hear this over and over that they look at my twins' saying....how old? Oh my....they're big! Should I be ignoring this or worried? And I will definietly ask the Pedi if their weight is normal. I am going to ask her about giving him pedisure drink? only when he is "sick" days.

3 more months to go for their 2nd birthday!

Just remember everyone has an opinion about your children, whether it be right or wrong, they think they need to say something. I'm finding out that people think "twins = small children". That's sooo not that case! I would not worry one bit about it. If your pedi thinks there is cause for concern, I'm sure they would tell you.

As far as Pediasure is concerned, do you mean Pedialyte? I believe (and I may be wrong!) Pediasure is to get extra calories in them whereas Pedialyte is to replenish fluids when they have a belly bug.

I meant -- Pediasure to get the extra calories in him! He's so lean/skinny that all of his pants still fall off on him. He has been wearing his rompers all summer because of it. We are fortunate that they were healthy twins' when they were born with no complication at 37.5 week. I know I read somewhere that between 18 mos and up they change their eating habit and sort of eat less than they usually do. So, I guess I shouldn't be worrying about it. But I definietly want to give pedi a phone call tomorrow if she suspect anything else is going on with him.

Today, he didn't do so well with breakfast......ugh!

I don't quite understand your question  lol. Both their weights are great! I bet they at about 50% for weight, you want them to weigh more? They will weigh what they weigh, not much you can do about that!!! All you can do is offer healthy food to them.
Same goes for eating, they will eat when they want to eat, you can't make them eat (nor should you try to make them). Most toddlers eat ONE good meal a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And when they are even the slightest bit sick it can REALLY effect how they eat/drink, so I would give it another few days and I bet he is back to himself :)

    I agree.

I don't know that I understood your question either though. They sound like great weights. If they were barely hanging onto the curve and way too skinny already, then I would be very concerned about losing out on a couple days worth of calories. When we are all sick we don't eat well. Try to offer what you can. As long as he is getting something in that would be great. The pediasure is not good tasting at all and most kids don't like it anyway. My son for some reason loves them though. I would try other more enticing food for him?
