Weight difference at 5 with ID

Peyton has always been bigger. She was born almost 2lbs larger than Paige. We can see a big difference in the girls but many other people can't tell them apart. This week when we took them in for a visit there was almost a 6 lbs difference. The big difference at 5 surprised me. Anyone else with IDs have that big of weight difference?

 

My girls are going to be 5 in oct and Jazz is 2 inches taler(has been since birth) and weights 5 lbs more at one point before Jessy's surgery it was almost 8 lbs

 

David and Sam will be 6 in October. They also had a 2 lb weight difference at birth. David is 5lb more and at least 2 inches taller. My SIL insisted last night that the genetic testing was wrong and they could not be ID twins.

 

My boys have always had a pretty big weight range - about a pound at birth and always an average of about 3 lbs. difference. It seems like Nate grows a bit earlier than Drew. He will shoot up in height and weight and for a while they will look quite different, size wise. Then, Drew will hit his growth spurt and will almost catch up to Nate (usually within about two lbs.). At that point, it's really hard to see any size difference until Nate gets his next growth spurt. :laughing:

 

This is pretty much what happens with my girls too. At one point, there was an 8 lb difference. One of their team mates said they could tell them apart, because Morgan was fatter. :cry: She was not happy with that comment, even though she is very thin. Brooke finally caught up with her, and they are only about 2 lbs apart. They just hit their growth spurts at different times.
