Weekly Peri appt today

Well, I had a not so great appointment today. My cervix has basically disappeared. It's down to 3mm and thinned out past my cerclage. I got one steriod shot this morning and the 2nd tomorrow morning. If my fetal fibronectin test comes back positive then I'm probably going to be admitted to the hospital today for bedrest and monitoring. Both babies are alive and kicking but things continue to decline for our little one. She's still way smaller then she should be and the diastyolic blood flow in her umbilical cord has disappeared. The doc said that this does not guaruntee her demise but he is very pessimistic about her survival. Please send prayers and positive vibes my way. 26 weeks is way to early for delivery and I'm so scared for my babies.

:hug99: I went thru almost this(my cervix was fine) with my girls. Jessy was so tiny at this point. My prayers are with you.

My cervix basically disappeared at 26 Weeks as well and I spent 6 weeks in the hospital on bedrest and I've got a terb pump. They discharged me at 32 Weeks and now I'm almost 34 and still hanging in there. It is possible to hold on for weeks even without a cervix left.

Thanks everyone, I'm touched. Despite my fFN test coming back positive, my peri wanted me admitted to the hospital for best rest. I'm comforted to know I'm in a good place being monitored.

:hug99: Hang in there. Many prayers and positive thoughts are out there for you and your babies. I'm another that went through this (except I was too late for a cerclage when it was caught) and brought my healthy 34wkers home. If you greet them early, I'm sure they'll get the very best of care. Thinking of you and your babies! Just wanted to let you know that my girls were born at 26 weeks 4 days. They were in the NICU for 9 weeks and are now happy healthy perfect 1 year olds. I pray that you can keep them cooking for many more weeks!

 

I had a little one with bad diastolic flow too. They were very pessimistic and said she probably wouldn't make it. I delivered at 32 weeks. She just turned one on May 3. PM me is you want to talk. Thinking of you.

I am sending prayers. My cervix shortened and thinned even with my cerclage in place as well, and I made it to 31 weeks. Hang in there, and I am praying for you.

 

Please know that I'm praying for you...also, I know I've told you this again and again...but my friend delivered at 25 weeks with her singleton... no steriod shots or forewarning... Her dd spent 9 week in NICU..no infections, no setbacks... NO VENT!!! In your dd's case it sounds like her chances might be better outside the womb than in.... so don't lose hope... You are doing all that you can... the steroid shots should help...Hope this all resolves quickly and that both of your little ones are strong fighters outside the womb or inside..
