thought about it - never did it. I got 2 front carriers and wasn't going to out and buy a back one just to try. I think I used my front carriers a total of 5 times.

I think Erykah mentioned that once before...or maybe it was two slings--but I definitely remember her carrying two in something. If she's around here, I'm sure she'll post about it!

I don't think I will ever need to wear them for a long enough period of time to justify the effort put into attaching 2 babies to my body. If you figure it out, I'd love to see pictures :D

...proud me! I just bought a Maximom twin carrier off of Ebay and have used it a few times now...it's been something really to try out all the different positions with the boys...they're 4 months old and can't stay in the forward facing on my chest position for very long before they get tired and their little heads droop...
so far, we have tried (with both boys) forward facing on chest...rear facing on chest...the "breastfeeding position" w/one across chest sideways, and one slung on either side like an over-the-shoulder (and around the neck) baby holder! ha! that was definitely my favorite position...so much easier to carrier that way. not yet brave enough to try one on front and one on back b/c they're not big enough yet...plus i have really long hair which would not be fun for the little monkey on my back!
...next time i sling them i will try to remember to get some pics!

For very small babies, pretty much newborns, you can put them both in the Moby wrap. It comes with instructions. We did it a few times and I think they would have liked it except it was about 101 degrees outside and they just got too hot. But now that its cooler we carry one in the Moby on me (it has like 7 different positions you can use it for) and one in Baby Bjorn on Dad and they LOVE it. I really think putting two in the Moby would only work for the first month or two depending on how big they are.

I found this online the other day, it's the only other twin carrier I've seen other than the Maximom. Thought I'd toss the info out here in case anyone is interested in checking it out ...

I use the Bjorn all the time, but there is no way I could carry both babies around at once! I get tired/sore enough just carrying one. They're both over 16 lbs now.

I still carry both if I have short trips to make...I am now using either two New Native pouch slings (one on each hip) or a backpack and a Moby or bjorn in front. I put DD in front as she is smaller and can still fit in the bjorn, barely! DS loves the backpack so it works great. I have also worn them one in a Moby on the hip and one in a pouch sling on the other hip. Slings are just so much more convenient than a Moby or Maya wrap, but not quite as 'secure' feeling. Now that they are a combined weight of just over 35 pounds we try not to go too far this way! But it sure beats whipping out the double stroller to go run a quick errand.

ETA: PRACTICE INDOORS FIRST!!! I wore them around the house together for awhile before I went outside with them both.. loading and unloading them from their carseats is NOT easy, it takes practice, especially with the slings.
