I know I am new here but thought I would share what we did to get our names.

We looked for names that were the reverse of eachother, then gave them each (we are having B/G) our first names as middle names.

In this case our chosen names are Aidan and Nadia (reverse eachother) and their middle names are James and Charlotte respectively. (Although I am seriously considering giving the girl my middle name- Irene instead, don't tell Jim...)

Other names that work this way are
    Arik and Kira (b/g)
    Noel and Leon (b/b)
    Allyn and Nylla (b/g)
    Allan and Nalla (b/g)
    Aron and Nora (b/g)
    Aydan and Nadya (b/g)
    Axel and Lexa (b/g)
    Ellen and Nelle (g/g)

I have found that there are other pairings too but can't think of them off the top of my head right now. Words that end in a vowel seem to work out better than those ending in consonants but that's not always the case. Sometimes you have to do some creative spelling to get them to work too.

We sat down and had fun with it but then went with the most common set anyway.
As for the middle names we thought that our parents had spent so much time thinking of our names that it was a fitting gift to give to them. I'm not particularly fond of the Nadia Charlotte pairing BUT how often do we refer to our kids by both names anyway? I also think that in time it sounds nicer...

I also know of people who combine names (a la Elian) to make rather pretty combos. We had considered naming our daughter Raene (Rain) which is a combo of my and my mother's middle names (Irene and Rae).

In the end we wanted names that were special to US. After all we are the ones who have to say them every day and we are the only ones who REALLY count any way, right?

    Neat!

I could agree more that your kids names should be special to you--that's what really counts.

I have heard of several b/g twins named Aidan and Nadia but wouldn't have worked for me cuz I like AIDEN .
I remember NOEL and LEON from the tv show Felicity(Noel changed his name to Leon during a little freakout! LOL!)!
I hadn't heard of most of those others though.
    Anyway,congrats and welcome!!!
My b/g twins are Connor Jacob and Chloe Reece!

My nephew is Travis ARON....his mom is NORA, and his sister's middle name (Mae) is the first, middle, and last initial of her dad.

Those are great names. :D It's wonderful that you are using names that mean something to you and have a family connection.

Well after all that, my husband decided last night that we should look into different middle names. LOL
    I could scream right now!
So now we wait to see what else fits with the first names we have chosen.
    UGH!
    Does this end? LMAO
