Normally, meal time is bad. The twins scream while I eat as fast as I can, leaving the older two at the table alone to fight while I carry and nurse the babies. I can't feed the babies when anyone else is at the table - they just won't eat.

Well, for lunch today I decide to try to pop the twins in their chairs next to the table with the wagon wheels. I was a little afraid they would choke - but they did great! This is the first meal since they have been born that I have been able to take more than three minutes to eat! They sat there and sucked on their wheels. I even gave them each sips from a glass of water - they loved it!

I feel like they are too young to be able to do this - but I guess they taught me they are not! I teach my clients all the time that they need to follow their baby's lead in transitioning to table and higher level foods - I should listen to my own advice B)

I just can't believe they are old enough to do this! Ellie is actually sleeping in her highchair right now! AMAZING! They never sleep unless I am holding them!

Soo strange you just posted this. I am going to the grocery store later and just wrote on my list to get some of those to try. I too thought they were too young but figured I would try them and if they didnt respond well to them I'd just put them away for later.

Ok, maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know but exactly what is a wagon wheel? A wagon wheel here is a chocolatey marshmallow thing & I know that isn't what you are talking about.

Always a great day when you can eat in peace!

They are the Gerber Graduates wheels that are made of carrots and cheese and stuff. They kind of dissolve when you put them in your mouth :icon_biggrin:
