We Survived!

So, we survived the first year. I remember looking at these birthday posts when the babies were 2 and 3 months old and getting such hope from the proof that others made it through! At some point between 4 and 6 months, we stopped "making it through" and started having a blast. I cannot believe how fast the last year has gone or how amazing our babies are. Here are some pics and milestones!

Jack: took his first steps on Sunday, can go from sitting to standing in the middle of the room without holding on, can stand unassisted for 30 seconds at a time, gives high fives, waves bye-bye, STTN, eats table foods like a champ, is starting to learn how to use a spoon, drinks from a straw sippy cup, holds up one finger when asked how old he is (a little trick we taught him!), stacks blocks and uses toys appropriately, climbs in and out of Bumbo (and generally climbs on everything), "shares" with us and Anna, points, says "uh-oh" when he drops something, "bye-bye" with waving, "mama" for me, "dada" for DH, and "Anna"

Anna: pulls up, cruises, can stand unassisted for 10 seconds at a time, can walk behind push toy, gives high fives, waves bye-bye, STTN, eats like a champ (will eat ANYTHING), is starting to learn how to use a spoon, drinks from a straw sippy cup, holds up one finger when asked how old she is, stacks blocks and puts shapes into the right holes in the shape sorter, puts things away (she likes to "put" things places in general), "shares" with us and Jack, says "mama" for me, "dada" for DH, "dat" for Jack, and "dog dog" for the dogs

They play together and interact together really well, share toys, and constantly laugh at each other. They are amazing to watch. More than ever, I feel like I can just see them learning every day.

I want to thank you all for being such an amazing support network. You truly can't know how much I relied upon this site and the women here to help me through some of the rougher times this past year. I look forward to moving on to the 1-4 board and stopping in to share my hard-earned knowledge!
