We Survived Our First Movie!

My sister and I took Matt and Mia to their first movie last night. We went to McDonald's first and tried to let them get tired out on the slides. The movie started at 7pm, so I was a little nervous b/c they usually go to bed at 7:30pm. We saw "Meet the Robinsons". A Pixar movie probably would have held their attention a little better, but it was a cute movie with a good storyline.

I'm so proud of them. They made it through the WHOLE movie. They stayed in their seats until about the last 20min. or so, then they were up and down, but they never got out of control.

Wow! Did they sleep OK afterwards? That's great that it worked.

 

:Clapping: Woohoo! I was so nervous the first time we took the boys to a movie -but they did great. We saw Chicken Little - and the boys thought it was cool to be in theater. My DD however, didn't do so well, LOL. DH spent almost the whole movie in the lobby because she couldn't sit still - oh well, live and learn.

They slept fine afterwards. Actually, they fell right asleep, where normally, they are up there screwing around for a while. I thought maybe they would sleep in this morning, but no chance of that. They were up at 7:30am as usual

How neat. I have been thinking about trying to take the girls to a movie latly, but they seem to be to antsy still. Maybe for their birthday we can try it. But it sure sounds like you had a good time.
