We settled on names!

So, we finally settled on that last elusive boy name, and finally have our set:

Coletta Louise
Moya Lin
Tycho James
Kepler John

I am so desperately in love with all of them. B/G would end up with Tycho and Coletta, most likely.

Coletta is my mother's name, and my greatgrandmother's name, so it skips generations. Louise is hubby's grandmother's name. Moya is, er, the name of a spaceship from Farscape and Lin is one of hubby's favorite aunts. Tycho and Kepler are astronomers, and James and John are our fathers.

You know, that's a good point. The names kind of flow together better for a "set" without being matchy, or even having the same initials. I'll think about that. Thank you!

 

I love surnames on boys. If I ever have a boy I want to name him Sivard or Dooley (family names)

 

Love all 4 names! And - how fun to keep the gender a surprise. We couldn't do that with our twins but we did with our dd, and it was so fun to find out the moment she was born.

 

I love the reasonings behind your names! I love it when parents chose a name that really has special meaning for them.
My husband is a PhD student and one of his advisors named his daughter Addity.
