We moved them to beds! (Update)

And it worked out just fine! We thought H was ready for one so we got her a little bed. C got jealous! We weren't sure he was ready, but we went ahead and converted his crib to the bed and he did pretty good.

H slept great and I had to go in and get her this morning. C woke up once in the night and got up, but I took him right back to be and he didn't get up until morning. And he was happy to get up this morning! He got out of bed, opened his door, and walked right out with a big smile on his face!

Congratulations!! We will be moving our girls to big beds soon and I hope our transition goes as well as yours did. Cute pictures!!!

That was a great transition, Mine was a nightmare. With my two they loved there bed but they stayed up and party all night it drove me crazy... YOu are so lucky... Are both of your twins in the same room

 

No, we seperated them into their own rooms in October. I really think that's the only reason this is going so well. I think C would be up bugging H all night if they were still together! LOL

 

Good for you! We got a crib tent the minute Carolyn tried to climb out. We knew Lindsey was content in hers (loves to sleep). They would have to sleep in a room together, and as someone else commented Carolyn would be bugging Lindsey all night!

So I am a little chicken and not looking forward to that transition. Right now they take 3 hour naps and I have a feeling that will all come to an end when they're out of the cribs.

I'm so glad to hear it's working out! Don't they grow up so fast?

Keep us updated in a few days; I am curious to know if it is still going well (not that I expect it to be bad, I just want some positive stories instead of the recent gloom and doom stories of bed transitioning). I know my kids are ready, but since they are not climbing out of their cribs, I am not in a hurry to transition!

Here's my update:

So it's been over a week now and they are still doing really well in their beds. Heather stays in her bed until we come get her. She just loves it! Connor likes having the freedom. Sometimes we have a problem keeping him in bed for his nap. Usually he stays in bed but sometimes I need to put him back in bed a few times and tell him to stay there. I think something that has helped the transition is keeping their binkis, stuffed animals, and little blankie that they had in their cribs.

Today was cute, he slept for 45 min., got up and was running around his room, I went in a put him back in bed, he got up and ran around for a few more minutes, then he got in bed himself and slept for another 1.5 hours! He's growing up!
