We made the switch to Toddler Beds!

I was scared to death after hearing stories of it and knowing my 2 wild boys.

I started it on a Sat at naptime with their cribs converted(no front rail). That first nap took over an hour to convince Eli to stay in bed but after that we never had any issues. I was floored! They call us if they want out.

After we were sure they would stay in bed we set up 2 Toddler beds that I got at WalMart for only $52 a piece!!! They had built in side rails and it keeps them from falling out.

I would have gone straight to twin beds but their room isn't big enough for 2 twins and we are not ready to separate. If they still want to share a room in 3 years from now we will look into bunk beds.

Here are some pics of their pirate room. We put up a huge wallpaper mural of pirates. Still have some bamboo blinds to hang, a shipwheel I ordered and some pirate letters that spell their names.

It was a wall paper mural that came in 8 pieces. No way I could paint anything, LOL

 

That is so cute! I love it. We're going straight to twin beds (around 3 hopefully) but I'm starting to work on their new bedroom. We're moving them to a bigger room so we won't have a space issue. I want to at least get it painted before winter sets in, I hate to paint when you can't open the windows.

Where did you get that mural? I want to put a mural up in their playroom.

Oh, I love the room! When we finally get our own house we are going to to cars trains and planes in their room... I can't wait to decorate...And those trunks are awesome!

I got the mural at Company Kids . My mom told me Bed Bath and Beyond was selling murals now but I haven't had a chance to check it out. It was actually easier to hang than I thought it would be once we got used to it. It helped that there were 3 of us to do it. 2 did the hanging while one did the prepping of the next piece.

I got the bedding at Olive Kids. They have a lot of cute and affordable bedding for Toddler Beds.

I bought the chest on a whim at Hobby Lobby and thought they would be cute as their toy boxes.
