I have never been so excited about poop in my whole life :)
We have talked about the Potty and since the boys are obsessed with Elmo they have watched the Elmo Potty movie about a thousand times but I never expected any poopies yet! After dinner Dh was taking the boys outside to play but for some reason Cooper didn’t want to go with them. He was standing in the corner and I knew the look on his face so I asked him if he did a stinky. He said no and I asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty and he said yes. I ran and got the Elmo potty out and he sat down but I expected it to be like any other time and he would sit for a few seconds without doing anything and move on. Boy was I wrong! He did a stinky in the potty! It wasn’t much bigger than a dime, lol, but he did it none the less. I was so excied I and couldn't believe it. I even made Daddy come back inside to see the poop! Cooper was SO proud of that poop and really enjoyed it when he got to flush it down the big potty.

I didn't really expect him to do it anymore but again this morning(of course when we were ready to walk out the door) he grabbed his bottom and said stinky. I ran to get the potty but it was too late. He still sat on the potty and tried some more and I told him good try.

I sent some pull-ups to day-care and told his teacher what he had done. I was surprised to hear that some of the kids in his class(others that just turned 2) were using the potty. She said Cooper has been expressing intrest but just ends up playing when he goes into the bathroom.

Eli doesn't even want to look at the potty, LOL

Here are a couple pics to mark the moment. I tried my best not to get a direct shot of poop, LOL The 2nd shot is actually after he was done and had his new "big boy" pull-s ups on and decided to demonstrate.

    Congrats!
Though, not to burst your bubble, but Sarah pooped in the potty for about 4 days in a row when she was 22 months, and hasn't done it again since then. :D

But maybe you'll get lucky! And at least you know that he knows HOW to poop in the potty.

Yea I am really skeptic that he will keep doing it. I'm sure we still have a LONG way to go. I just took me by surprise when he did do it b/c it was totally unexpected.

Never thought I would get excited over poop

Thanks Sarah! We haven't had any more poop but both boys did end up going pee pee on the potty at daycare. It seems to have become a competitive thing b/w them all but hey if it works!

We still aren't pushing it but I do offer him the potty in the mornings before putting on a pull up if he hasn't already gone.
