This morning, Bea was just not herself. She was getting upset about everything, and lying on the floor with her blanket not playing. She was sitting with me and she felt hot, so I took her temp, 101.5. :( I called the doctor's office and they told me to bring her in right away. I had no idea what might be wrong. Doctor said ear infection in one ear and a sinus infection. She hasn't had a cold or allergy symptoms, so I have no idea how she got one. The dr had put Ainsley on Claritin for her allergies because I had only mentioned her having a constant runny nose, so he said I should start Bea on it too, that maybe she has allergies but isn't having sneezing/runny nose type symptoms. He gave her Amox for the ear/sinus infection.

Bea took a three hour nap this afternoon and spent most of the late afternoon/evening lying on me or the floor. She just seemed so pitiful, didn't eat much either. I was also feeling bad because I just posted about how she says "hurt" all the time, and I was wondering if maybe she's had an ear infection all this time, but I don't really think so. She's been acting fine up until today, and she does know how to point to what hurts when something really does hurt, but it just made me wonder.

I hope she is feeling better tomorrow and that Ainsley doesn't end up with it too.

Ear infections are terrible. You little one sounds like mine- her symptoms are atypical. My girls don't even get fevers, but get double EIs. In fact, we're recovering from #7 (claire-4 susie-3) since their 9 month well visit. Thankfully, summer & good health are almost here!
    Hang in there,

Poor thing! We are going back for a re-check today for Coopers double EI. Watch her on the Amox b/c it tore Cooper up and he ended up having a bad reaction to it. They had to change him to Omniceft and he did good on it. If you aren't already I would give some Yobaby Yogurt or get some baby acidophilous to give while taking the antibiotic. It helps a lot! Its safe to give everyday so I still give it to both boys daily. It helps build up the good bacteria in their tummies. The Amox really did a number on Cooper's tummy and it took a while to get straightened back out.

Poor baby...sounds like how my McKenna was on Monday. She had double ear infections (this would make about her 20th ei and her 2nd set of tubes...she has ruptured both eardrums 2 times while tubes were out!) and a sinus infection. She is on omnicef. Motrin is the biggest lifesaver during ei's....

    Hope yours is better soon!
