For the past 3 nights, as DS has decided to start sleeping on his tummy, he has leaked through the front of the diaper and soaked the bed. [IMG] Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this? He weighs almost 23 pounds [IMG] and is in size 3 diapers now, which go up to 28 pounds, I think. We have tried Pampers baby dry and cruisers as well as Huggies. HELP!!!! [IMG] Mommy is tired of all the excess laundry... [IMG]

We use Huggies Overnights, they do come in size 3, and they work great. Both of mine are tummy sleepers and sleep at least 12 hours and no leaks. Try them!!!

Also try the little pad that helps your diapers soak more up. Trying to think of the name of them....... [IMG] Brain is fried....I'll think of it later...(as soon as I hit reply I remembered!) DIAPER DOUBLERS!!!

Make sure you point his wee willy winky in the DOWN position (I still had leaks, but can't hurt) ALSO, for whatever reason. My guys leaked (yes, Ali too!) for about a week and then suddenly everything was fine. Weird. Hope it passes soon!

Go up a size for night time. Hannah weighs 23 pounds and she has been in a size four forever. That is how I gauge when it is time to move up a size--leaking. I do not go by the weights on the box because those have never been accurate for my kids.

We have leaky nighttime diaper issues too when we forget to grab a bigger diaper for overnight. Works like a charm for us. The only problem now is, they don't make size 7s for Ben!!!!!

I switched my sons to size 4 because of that same problem and it has worked. I also make sure that their last bottle is about an hour before bed and change them one last time just before I put them to bed.

Going a size up has worked every time for us!

My 22lb son is in size 4...we also use Huggies Overnights, for overnight. They work great, he is a BIG leaker. I would go up a size (even though the weights don't really match) and see what happens.

My girls are 19 and 20 lbs and we've been using size 4 diapers for overnight for a long time now. And I make sure I roll the top of the diaper down in the front for my belly sleeper.

I went up a size on Skylar - She usually wears a 4 so I switched to the 5 and I haven't had a problem since. Knock on Wood!!

Well you've already fixed the problem but Yes I think size 3 is too small for 23 lbs. Whenever my boys started to leak in their diapers consistantly, I would go up a size. From my experience my boys always needed a bigger size since 1) they were big also and 2) if you don't position their little wee wee downward leaks happen. At 6m my boys were in a size 4 and by 9m in a size 5 which they are currently in at 12m and 25 lbs. I never went by what the wt. limit was on the box since I could just tell when the leaks started to happen. Also, I never used Huggies they were the worst for boys IMO. I love Pampers but do tend to use Shoprite or Pathmark since they are cheaper for us.

Yes, I'd definately go up to a 4; but also, and I know this sounds silly: make sure the penis is positioned straight down when you do final diaper change before bed! If they are pointed up you get wet everywhere!

I just wanted to add that they have plastic pants that go over diapers that really cut on the clothing changes. They sell them at our local Big Lots. Plus they can be washed and reused. Also great for up the back poopers.

My son was a tummy sleeper and ALWAYS soaked through until we went up a size for nighttime and only used Pampers Cruisers for nights. (Huggies or regular Pampers didn't do it for him) I would also second the pad idea to save your sheets.

    Good luck!

the pad idea is a good one. Also you can turn his diaper under in the front to prevent it from leaking out from his little wee wee. Sometimes that works well for us.
