We have a former preemie walker!

Kaytlin, my little 30 weeker born at 3 lbs 3 ozs is WALKING!!! She will be 15 months on the 9th. Alivea isnt far behind her but not quite confident yet. Alivea took 3 steps a few weeks ago and Kaytlin had yet to take any. A few days ago she just took off!!! One day she took a few steps, the next day it was a few more and now a full fledged walker! Amazing to watch a little helpless preemie only a year ago, up walking and talking!!!

Great job!!!! My kiddos were late walkers (32 wkrs). Jackson was 16 months and Jaydon was 20 months.

I know what you mean about how good it feels to see your preemies walking. My preemies started walking at 13 months and it made me so happy and proud. I was just thinking the other day how different things were a year ago.

My guys were 37 weekers and didn't walk until 15 months.

my DD was that small (3 lb 8 oz) and did the same thing - just up and let go one day and took off!! Yay for walkers!

I have another walker :a_smil09: Alivea started today...Wow I cant believe both of them are walking now. Oh, how things are going to get even crazier! :8714bumper:

Lily (my very non-typical preemie) started walking at 11 months, but we're still waiting on Grace to take that first step. She's close, just hasn't done it yet.

 

Way to go Kaytlin!!! They'll both be running before you know it!

 

Get your running shoes on now. I actually think it's easier with them both walking.
