we had our sono today

    TWO BOYS!!!

    Took a while, but Baby B FINALLY opened his legs and showed us the goods - there was NO mistaking!

    This was our first appointment with the Peri, and it was WONDERFUL! We talked about everything. My cervix is meauring nice and long at 3.4 centimeters, and we're gonna recheck it again at 22 weeks and again at 25 to make sure it's staying that way. She fitted me with a maternity belt and wants me to wear it all day, everyday, to keep my uterus up off my cervix, and also to keep it nice and secure to help lessen the amount of braxton hicks contractions I have constantly (she witnessed a few during the sonos, too). She's VERY happy with the way both babies look and says everything looks PERFECT. Heartbeats were 150 and 136, and the babies are measuring ahead - and weighing in at a whopping 12 oz!

    I'm feeling very, VERY good today! This day has been a long time coming, and it's so relieving to know they're happy and healthy. We absolutely love this Doctor and feel like we're in great hands with her. She was very thorough!

    And, we're absolutely thrilled it's two boys! I think having a house with three young boys is going to be constant chaos and constant fun. ;)

    We don't know yet. They're each in their own sac with their own placentas (one is anterior and the other is posterior), so they could identical or fraternal at this point. Kind of neat to think we still have a surprise left to find out in the end!

    I could feel your excitement in your post! It's contagious! Congratulations - I guess you could say I'm partial to twin boys, too! And I also had two sacs, two placentas - one anterior, one posterior! We still don't know if they are identical - same blood type and all that! AND it looks like my boys and your Cooper have the same birthday one year apart! Congratulations, again!
